Ratatouille Books

I thought this would be a great place to put/talk about the Ratatouille books we know of

so

far.

If you know of any more Ratatouille books please post up.

Have they been released yet?

TSS: Nope

What an excellent pressent to get someone who loves the movie after watching it. Of

course, I would hate to read it before I watched the movie.

Groaning on a other fourm said that it looks like Remy (in the picture above) looks like he is

cooking Ratatouille. I think he’s right.

JV - Oh yeah, I knew about

those books ages ago.

However, I have never seen the cover of the book you just posted up until now.

Heheh – it’s adorable. And yes, he just has to be cooking ratatouille! It only

makes sense. Heheh…

Actually, in my story Remy is supposed to create an award winning meal that

grabs the attention of restaraunt attendees (which is the basis of the real story). And what is the winning meal?

Ratatouille!

I’m gonna put these books on my 2007 Christmas list, if I don’t get them before then…

(snigger) Thanks for posting this up, JV!

Any time Mitch!

JV - Hehe.

Hey, does anyone know where Remy is

in that picture that you posted up above, JV? At first, I thought that he was in his house, but after I looked at

it a little more closely, it seems as if he is situated in either a barn or a kitchen.

Since Remy

originally was supposed to live out in the French countryside, perhaps his family once lived in a barn? Maybe

that’s where he used to cook his meals?

Mitch: I not exactly sure where Remy is in

the picture, but maybe as you said Mitch, a barn, and the barn is where Remy?s family lives…

[spoil]…before he accidentally burns their house down. Maybe the picture with Remy cooking is right

before he accidentally burns their house down, he probably accidentally catches something on fire why he was

cooking and then it was to late to save him and his family?s home.[/spoil]

JV

 • Yeah, that’s what I thought. Heh – poor Remy. He tries to do what he loves most and gets an unpleasant

result. Reminds of me when I try to cook – I can’t do it…and when I do…something goes wrong. I’m famous

for my “slug soup”. :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit - By the way, would you mind if I

“borrowed” that Ratatouille picture of yours up there for my blog,

JV?

I love those,

‘The Art of…’ books. They really are the best Pixar books around, and the Ratatouille one looks amazing

already!

lizardgirl - Oh, they’re

incredible. Have you read the Art of Finding Nemo book? It’s

amazing…

I’m gonna get that Art of Ratatouille book as soon as it hits

the shelves.

I don’t mind at all go right ahead. After all I found the picture at

Animated News and they said they found

it at Animation Nation and I don’t know where Animation Nation found it .

I?m looking forward to

reading you?re new post that you are about to put up on your blog.

I’ve only got the Art of Monsters, Inc., as they’re so

expensive, and that one just truly freaked me out. It’s so scarily different to the final movie, as well…But

yeah, that Ratatouille one looks like it’ll be worth getting.

JV - Thank you very much! I will post up that article on

my blog very soon.

lizardgirl - Ah…I see. And yes, I agree:

The Art of Monsters Inc. has to be one of the scariest books alive…besides some

other novels I’ve read (I won’t name them all here). Perhaps that was the point?

Mitch: Awesome! I can’t wait!

Does anybody know when

the art of Ratatouille book comes out?

JV - Thank you! And I just

put it up, so you can now read it.

The Art of Ratatouille book will be

released on May 3, 2007.

The Ratatouille (Board Book) will hit the shelves

on July 3, 2007.

I just saw

it up on your blog Mitch, it’s awesome! thanks!

JV - You are most welcome! And thanks.

I’m

already clearing one of the shelves in my house to make way for the Ratatouille dvd.

I’m ecstatic… :stuck_out_tongue:

Ooooh! Love the cover for The Art of

Ratatouille!

I have a tip for anyone who wishes to purchase this book when it becomes

available. Try ordering it online if you can. I always order expensive books from Amazon.com because they are

way cheaper. When I bought The Art of Monster House and The Art of

Open Season together, I saved $30 because I ordered them from Amazon.com.

I’m happy that

they’re going to release a “how-to-draw” book for Ratatouille. There has

been one for every Pixar movie excluding The Incredibles. :frowning: I like to do fan art

in my own style, but any reference is helpful.
