Go Ratatouille! $500 mill is nothing to sneeze at! It seems it didn’t do so bad after all… (in terms of financial success).

I’m lovin’ the foreign reception… :sunglasses:

Well, I’m sure I had a little bit to do with its success in Australia. Heheh.

Your right. Good job rachel. pats on back

Thanks!

I’m sure Mitch had a lot do with its domestic success over there, as well.

Haha. Yeah, thanks, rachel!

rachel - Ha! Yeah, I contributed a few hundred dollars to the cause. I’m not kidding you here; I really did spend over $200 bucks, which explains my blank pockets. On the plus side, it was worth it, I’ll tell you that right now. It really was worth it…

Oooh, Ratatouille is doing very well! That explains the ridiculously packed cinema a few nights ago…The queue for it was ridiculous- all the times for that day were sold out; always a good sign. Yay, Ratatouille!

That’s very promising, indeed, lizardgirl. Thanks for sharing that.

lizardgirl - Woah. That’s awesome!

– Mitch

rachel- No problem.

Mitch- Yeah, a few people I know went to the cinema last night and they said that it was sold out again!

I actually finally understand why Pixar or Disney or whoever decided to release Ratatouille so late here- if it was released in the summer holiday, there wouldn’t be too much of a rush to see it because all the kids are off school for a month and a half, but releasing it just before half term has allowed a bigger build up to the film. Now all the kids here only have a week to see the film in, and with the weather being so bad now in comparison to it being relatively okay in the summer, it’s more likely that they’ll be desperate to go to the cinema to see it.

I went to the complex this morning to go bowling, and it was pretty busy for Ratatouille- this is like at eleven in the morning on a Sunday; one of the times in the week I really wouldn’t want to go and see a film!

lizardgirl - Wow thats pretty amazing! :astonished: Considering the film has already been running for over two weeks already and its still sold out! Yeah agree that 11am is kinda a weird timing to watch a movie lol. I usually prefer watching movies later in the evening or at night.

I read somewhere that Pixar/Disney decided to delay the film’s release in the UK (and prolly elsewhere in Europe as well) to avoid clashing with some of the big summer releases, and it looks like their tactics paid off.

Good to hear though that Rat has been so successful in the foreign box office! 3 cheers for Rat!

lizardgirl - Ha! Man, that’s awesome. (heheh)

Ahh, I see. Well, that explains it then. I suppose that it was perfect timing and good planning after all, even though it seeemed ludicrous from the start. I’m just glad that it’s getting some attention over there. Heck, it’s getting attention everywhere, so there’s really nothing to worry about. (snigger)

I’m surprised that it’s still playing near my area. Even though only one cinema still has a hold on some Ratatouille, the owner of the theater in question stated that it’s his most popular film, which is why it will continue to play there all the way up until November 1st (and perhaps even later than that).

I’m thinking of seeing it (Ratatouille) one more time, even though I was trying to make it a point to view the production no more than twenty-five times. Apparently, I haven’t seen it enough. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ratatouille’s still doing great internationally  After last weekend it gathered $346,8 millions outside USA and it means that worldwide BO numbers cross over $550 millions

Really? I have never heard of that before. You are so lucky…

Heh. Well, if you want to see it again, then you should. It’s the last time you would be able to see it in the cinema so you may as well make the most of it.

rachel - Yeah, it’s rather unusual. However, I’ll accept the opportunity to see it again with open paws…if I get the chance!

– Mitch

Heheh. I’m sure you will.

Also, do you think I should see Ratatouille again?

What do you think? Heheh…

– Mitch

LOL Uh, I’m really not sure. I love, love, loved it the last time I saw it, but I don’t want to over do it. Maybe if I can get someone to drag along with me, then I will.

rachel, like Remy says[spoil], Let’s Go,Go,GO![/spoil]
