Cool, thanks. I’ll see if I can find some Pixar emails to post here as well.

Theres even pics of the cheese sculpture Upcoming Pixar reported on!
Edit: It’s not only the ratatouille premiere, it’s also Pixar Short Films Collection- Volume I and Cars Blu-Ray Edition.
RMS - I agree with rachel: Way to go! Although the response you received does seem rather “robotic”, I hope that they’ll at least take your complaint into further consideration.
Haha! Thank you! I just might file a report as well, since you guys aren’t the only ones who are bothered by this ridiculous mayhem…
– Mitch
Yeah, pretty robotic, but at least they acknowledged that your complaint was about 1 disk DVDs. Maybe they actually read it, or get enough complaints about it that they have an I-am-displeased-with-the-1-disk-ness form letter.
I Am bacccck
Ok Actually Jim Hill fields this question to this. Ok, I know everyone who loves Pixar loths his guts but hear him out on this one. Pllllllleeese? Its the kind of annoying answer I knew that was going to be given.
Well, I’m glad that someone (even if it is Jim Hill and his anonymous “sources”) in the industry acknowledge what we already knew - it is Disney that is botching up Pixar’s DVD releases. At least we will get a 2-disc of Cars, Ratatouille and WALL-E eventually, and you have to hand it to Disney in that it is a good way of squeezing money out of us.
How I would have loved to have been a fly on wall during the meetings with John Lasseter and Disney about their DVD releases…
For once, a good article from Jim Hill. Disney’s (and it is Disney, not Pixar) thinking seems to be:
The tactics is blatant money grabbing with a pitiful excuse, but I have to admit, the article was a great insight. Jim Hill wrote something right.
We got the Ratatouille DVD early!!! ![]()
My friend’s mom works at Fox, and apparantly their family gets free DVDs and stuff often. So today at school, when she pulled out Ratatouille, I practically screamed. Sheila was really excited too! She got her driver’s license today, so the DVD made the day extra special!
So about the DVD, (not the blu-ray version) the special features were great. I think you all will like Your Friend the Rat. Also, the deleted scenes are really interesting --especially the last one, we love the last one best.

That’s really awesome that you got it early! I’m glad you thought Your Friend The Rat was good. I’m really excited to find out how that will be!
Congrats on getting the DVD early, Ashley. ![]()
Your Friend the Rat is basically the cutest thing ever.
I wish they’d left some of the deleted scenes in, but the movie is already a serious test of bladder strength and making it two hours long would have been… problematic.
Colette Linguini- Wow, you got a copy early! Lucky you! ![]()
I can’t wait for the DVD now! I’m glad there are so many postivie comments about it! Thanks for the info, Colette Linguini!
CL, lucky you! I am am glad you got a chance to enjoy it. Thanks for telling us about it.
TOMORROW.
Ahh, I can hardly wait!

I got to see it again in theatres yesterday. The theatre I go to plays movies that have already left theatres again every sunday, and they played Ratatouille yesterday. I’m glad I got a chance to see it in theatres again before we get the DVD tomorrow.
All I want to know is if there is a commentary…![]()
JF: Oh yes, me too! They’re always the best. ![]()
I discovered two easter eggs on the DVD! ![]()
[spoil]The first one was Brad Lewis, I believe, describing the working titles they had for Ratatouille. Then it went to other Pixar people trying to pronounce “ratatouille”.
The second one was a short 2-D commercial for a rat killing product.[/spoil]
