rachel - Cha, they’re pretty cute. I’ll keep an eye out for that shirt you mentioned, especially as Disney Store employees get a 30% discount on everything in the store (except for DVDs and CDs, unfortunately). So yeah, maybe we could arrange something… Heheh.
Oh yeah, I’m gonna love it. One of the main reasons I picked that particular place to work is because it’s the perfect environment for me to do business in. Disney, Pixar, animation, movies… What more could you want? (snigger)
Sounds like you’ve got a good job there, Mitch! Perfect for someone like you!
I saw another poster at school today, on the way to Latin. I only managed a fleeting glace (I was late ) but this one was of the Remy dancing with carrot scene, but basically without much of a background. It also had the URL of a website about school dinners that apparently has a Ratatouille game on it, so I’ll note that link down next time I pass by.
Mitch - 30%??? Woah. That sounds like such a great job. I wish we had a Disney Store here… Oh and that would be awesome if you could keep an eye out for the purple shirt because the ones on eBay are really expensive.
lizardgirl - That sounds like such a cool poster. Are you still going to take a photo of it?
They noticed what a big deal I was making of those posters, found one that I hadn’t seen before, ripped it off the wall and gave it to me! It’s absolutely massive!
Here’s a photo-
The website URL is there- it’s actually an amazing game!- but just in case you can’t see it from the photo, it’s www.schoolfoodtrust.org.uk. In the game, Remy bounces around catching food.
Mitch - Well, you know how I love to look at photos, so of course I can’t wait to see the photos you put up.
LG - LOL wow! That is such a cool poster! I have never seen that before. They should have Remy though, but maybe he is on a different poster? You’re lucky to have friends that will rip off a poster (and risking getting in trouble) because you like Ratatouille. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In
rachel- Yeah, there’s a poster of Remy in our English department, but it’s in more of an obvious place so I don’t think I’ll be able to steal that one… I might bring my camera into school on a day that I have free periods and take some photos, though.
Yeah, they completely caught me by surprise! My friend just bounded up to me going, ‘Laura, I’ve got a surprise for you…!’
The huge range cough of Ratatouille merchandise at Toys R Us:
That’s basically the biggest grouping of Ratatouille merchandise sold in one place , at Toys R Us stores. You can see the four character action figures (sold separately), movie moments collection (three to collect), plush toys (four to collect), and the Kitchen Quake board game down the bottom.
Books are available in other stores, as well as bits and pieces here and there, so you can see why I go crazy whenever someone posts pictures from The Disney Store in the US… Thank God for eBay.
Actually that reminds me. Don’t Pixar movies usually have these little promo toys? I have allergies that keep me from going to mc donalds to buy the toys but I get them off the internet and see the ads on T.V. But so far there’s nothing.
This really makes me wonder, is it just that they had another promotion when they would have had the Ratatouille promotion? or is it something more sinister such as, there have been so many reports about rats in fast food places that no one wanted to “licencse” the promo toys because of the ad.
I hope not though, I would love to see those
rachel - Dude, the Disney Store in my area doesn’t even have the board game. (snigger)
Nice pictures, dude! Thank you for sharing them with us.
MiniChuchan - You know, I wondered the same thing as well. Why were there no “fast food” Ratatouille toys? Perhaps it was because of the reason you mentioned, but I don’t know. Hmm. Odd, indeed…
At my local Disney store, there is a gigantic Emile! He’s like, big and fluffy, and about the size of a 3 year old kid. It’s actually kind of bizarre… An oversized, fat rat. But Ashley and I laughed and laughed the couple times we went in. I’d really love the Ego plushie, because I think it’s adorable – an antagonist plushie!!! And I liked the Ratatouille puzzle they had in there. The kitchen timer was also cute, but we’d never use it at my house. We just use the timer on the oven.
Mitch: I read that you’re gonna be working at the Disney store! That’s awesome! Last summer, I actually applied for a job there too, and they offered me one, but I turned it down for Barnes and Noble. So at the interview, did they give you a random item and ask you to make up stuff and sell it to them? They did that with me. They gave me a calculator and said “Here. You can make this whatever you want, just convince me to buy it.” So I made it a maaaagical calculator that tells your future… and kind of waffled on about how awesome and worth-the-price it is… heh.
sheila
I believe Disney ended their contract with McDonalds’ or something like that. I read about it somewhere, but I forgot exactly what happened.
As for me, I went to the Disney Store today to buy these Meet the Robinsons patches for this messenger bag thing I got for my b-day, and my mom asked if I wanted to pre-order Ratatouille and get these lithos with it.
I’m getting that for my birthday!
I actually don’t have any “Ratatouille” merchandise…
I saw a Gusteau plush at the store for only $2, though.
But I’ll get the DVD, and Emile’ of course.
