Ratatouille Toys!

So you can finally start ordering it in store? Great. When I was there last week they still didn’t have it, my guess was that they were waiting for “The Jungle Book” to come out but still, I’d say that starting in-store preorders just a month before the video is released is a bit problematic, they should have either bumped up the release date for “The Jungle Book” or advertised both at the same time. Interesting though that you got the lithograph set right away, I remember when I got my pre ordered copy of “Finding Nemo” I didn’t get the lithographs until we went to pick it up (it was alot harder back then for me to have a chance to order the video and pick it up because the mall near my house didn’t have a Disney store back then)

Haha. Well, thank you! I’m actually quite enjoying the job. It’s more of an undertaking than I expected it to be, but I see this as an added bonus in that my work experience is set at a higher level. The more integration and knowledge I gain in this particular field the better…

Oooo… Barnes and Noble! Good choice. I admire you for having the courage to work there; I probably never could, as I’d get lost in the pages of a book. (I love to read to the point of insanity – heheh.) Oh, and I like your answer to the “calculator question”. Heheh.

Actually, I was not asked any such question(s). The most they asked me was why I was interested in taking on the job and some backround information. No enthusiasm there. :stuck_out_tongue: (snigger)

Annoying - Ohhh, I now exactly what you’re talking about, dude! They have a couple of the Ratatouille lithographs for display in the Disney Store I am currently stationed in, and my paws were itching to strangle one. (snigger)

As some of you may know, I recently obtained a position at the wonderful world of Disney…Store. I had kinda been living there anyway, as I visited the place practically every day. (Gotta look for those select Ratatouille items, ya’ know? :stuck_out_tongue: ) Soooo…I finally said to myself, “What the heck? I may as well…apply for a…job…” Low and behold… (snigger)

I’m actually having a great time “guarding” the place (er…maintaining my position as “guest greeter” and assistant stocker). The workload fits into my jigsaw puzzle perfectly; in other words, the job itself is not too much of a hassle. I still have to practice my folding and register skills, but I’m (slowly but steadily) learning.

I took the liberty of taking a few pictures of the newest Ratatouille items on display, and I must say that the amount of merchandise dealing with the subject is rather impressive…seeing as the film itself has been out for quite some time now. I would have thought that all toys and clothing on the matter would have disappeared by now. Appparently not…

Le Apparel:

Yes. Believe it or not, they actually have a Colette t-shirt. I’m going to get it without fail, dudes.
As for the other shirts, I currently own the first shirt shown and my mom bought my little sister the last t-shirt shown.

A Ratatouille nightie and pin were also on display, both of which I captured a picture of. I shall post them up for you all to view in due time.

Le Highlight de la Evening:

Yes, there they are. Check it out. Feast your eyes. Tighten your hands around this, dudes! As was previously stated by Annoying, four lithographs are included with one’s pre-order of the Ratatouille DVD, two being the ones shown above. All four lithographs include these scenes from the film in question:

1. Remy sitting atop a roof in Paris, gazing at a vast array of brilliant sunlight dripping down into the last realms of the earth (shown above).
2. Remy frantically jumping out of Mabel’s kitchen window in an attempt to “save” his most prized possession – chef Gusteau’s cook book, Anyone Can Cook – and rejoin his colony before his bucket is kicked.
3. [spoil]Django, Remy’s father, holding his son’s hand high in the air as he proudly announces to his vast colony his son’s victorious return.[/spoil]
4. Remy peering down upon the freshly brewed activities of the individuals within reknowned chef Gusteau’s gleaming kitchen, the frisky rat himself perched atop a skylight overlooking the previously mentioned set-up (kitchen).

Am I going to pre-order the DVD? Is that even a question? :stuck_out_tongue:

Le Plushie:

This is an Emile plushie that I purchased for my sister for her birthday some months ago. To be truthful, I mainly bought it for myself. There was something about that look in that chubby little rat’s fuzzy eyes that grabbed my attention. He said, “Buy me…”, so I did. Eheheh…

By the way, there’s something rather satisfactory about watching a little youngin’ walk out of the Disney Store hugging a Ratatouille toy…

– Mitch

P.S./Edit: I seem to recall that one of you asked me whether or not any purple Colette sweatshirts/shirts (in a women’s size) were available at the Disney Store I work in. If you’re still pondering that question, I’ll tell you right now that I didn’t see…anything of the sort. It kinda sucks, but if anything like that comes in then I’ll let you know.

ow Mitch, that is a lot of cool stuff there! I have never seen like more thn 75% of the stuff in the pics you posted up. I really like the shirts. Really cool.

Thanks for posting those pics, Mitch.

I had seen a few of those shirts on eBay, but not all. I like the pink “Ooh La La” Remy one, and the Colette one is great. It’s good to see her getting her piece of the Ratatouille apparel. The blue Linguini and Remy shirt is too cute! Too bad it’s in boys sizes. Can’t wait to see the Ratatouille nighty (for women?) and the pin. salivates Oh, and if any other womens t-shirts come in, let me know?

Those lithographs are awesome. I wish they had that promotion here so I could hang one on my wall. They both look good. What one are you going to pick?

Emile is adorable. Look at his chubby cheeks. You just want to cuddle him. I’m glad he got a cuddle from your sister, though. ;-p

raises hand That would have been me. That’s ok. Thanks for looking, anyway. The good news is that I found out that the Disney Store online does indeed ship internationally so I might order it today. The shipping is going to kill me, though. Now, if only my mum will let me use her credit card…

Thanks for those pics again, Mitch. I really appreciate it and love looking at them. (And someone has to keep this merchandise thread alive).

Mitch- Oooh, those shirts look cool! And that picture of Remy looking at Paris is actually beautiful…I must say, the Ratatouille merchandise has been so impressive! Thanks for posting the photos.

EE! Must - have - that first graphic tee! But I don’t think they have any at my local store… I guess I have to look closer.
sheila

Thank you all for your comments and feedback, guys! And you’re welcome!

rachel - If you pre-order the Ratatouille DVD you automatically get all four lithographs (and you can’t buy them separately, so you’d get all of the pictures no matter what – heheh). Cool, non?

I hope you get your Colette sweatshirt/shirt! It must be really cool. I’ll have to take a peek at it on the online Disney Store when I have the time…

Ratatouille Pin - Remy and Emile:

Ratatouille Nightware - Remy and Emile:

I apologize for the terrible quality concerning the picture I took of the newest Ratatouille pin. Once I buy it, I shall do my best to snap a higher quality photo of the item.

The nightie I took a photograph of is the largest size of that particular brand of merchandise our local Disney Store carries, which happens to be a size 12 for boys I believe. I’d like to convince my mom to buy it for my little sister. Perhaps she’ll get it… (snigger)

– Mitch

The picture looks really cute Mitch, especially the pins. THe nightware stuff looks cool too.

Mitch - No worries. You mean you get all four lithos? Oh man…

I’m not sure if you were talking to me, but I’m not going to get the Colette shirt because I’m guessing it is in girls’ sizes. The shirt I’m after is the purple raglan women’s tee with Emile and Remy on the front and it says “Viva la Paris”. That pin is really cute. Is that a nightie or a pyjama top?

I have been browsing eBay a lot lately, which is a treasure trove of unique Ratatouille items.

A Remy drink bottle/canteen.

If I wasn’t 22, I would consider using the quilt cover set…

A lunchbox sold in Europe, somewhere

I just love the difference between a US backpack…

… and a French backpack.

A Ratatouille fan. (No, not me) ;-p

They couldn’t have made this figurine pairing more illogical. Skinner and… Django?

Wow, those look really, really amazing rachel! It is amazing what you can find with a simple ebay shoping.

rachel- Thanks for showing us all that merchandise! You gotta love eBay. :sunglasses: And about Skinner and Django, well, maybe it’s sort of like the ‘slightly minor characters set’- they’d probably made all the other ones and had those two left and had to put them together.

The Star Swordsman - I’m glad you like the pictures.

rachel - Wow – look at all of that cool stuff! Our Disney Store has the Ratatouille fan, but that’s it. I wish they had more stuff, but oh well…
As for that French backpack and lunch box: I want 'em! :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you for posting up the pictures, rachel!

What’s wrong with that? :stuck_out_tongue: (snigger)

Ah. So that’s the shirt you have in your sights! Cool. Well, I hope you get it!
As for the second picture I posted up (in my last post), the apparel in question is a pajama top, with bottoms included. It’s really cute. Heheh.

Again, thank you for the pictures! I enjoyed 'em. I’m glad you liked the ones I posted up, as well.

– Mitch

Oh, totally welcome there MItch.

No worries, everyone. Glad you liked looking at the pictures. They were just the more unique ones I came across, but I’ll see if I can find more. I really love the American, pink backpack, but I would have no use for it anyway…

TSS - I never thought of it that way before, but I guess that stuff really is amazing!

Mitch - Trust me. I would give anything to have just 10 minutes in your Disney store, with all of your merchandise. Heheh. You can always buy the backpack and lunchbox from eBay, if you really want.

Oh, I’m glad that you get the lithos, I just wish we had that promotion going down here.

Well, I don’t know what they were thinking because Skinner and Django never even come into contact during the movie (I don’t think).

I don’t get the Skinner/Django thing, but it just looks funny because Django is bigger than Skinner. 8D

rachel - Haha. Well, you’ll just have to fly over here then.

Ahh – I see. Yes, it’s a shame that you guys aren’t able to receive the lithographs in your country. Perhaps I should ship one or two of the lithographs to you? I owe you one anyway, since you got me a Ratatouille/chef’s togue!

As for the whole Skinner/Django deal: Well, they’re both aristocratic types, so I guess it makes sense.

– Mitch

Hmm. I wouldn’t call them aristocratic. Antagonistic, though.

Colette Linguini - Hmm. Yes, perhaps “antagonistic” was the word I was searching for. Thank you!

– Mitch

Trust me, I will someday, but I don’t have the money now.

Heheh. You really don’t owe me anything. I really appreciate the offer, but it’s ok. I don’t want them that badly any more - I’m so fickle, I know. Are you going to hang yours on your wall? Is that what they’re for?

I also can’t figure out why in the Meet the Chefs pack, Remy is almost as tall as Linguini’s waist…

This isn’t Ratatouille but it is Pixar: I have to take water with me everywhere, otherwise I feel dehydrated and light headed which is not good. So when I found these Disney-Pixar little water bottles, they were the perfect size for carrying everywhere! It’s good that Pixar are putting their name/characters on a healthy drink, instead of on everything with sugar on it. coughShrekcough

Are these sold in the US?
