Whoa, this is a weird feeling…Not going to school… ![]()
You ain’t going to school JF? You lucky person!
TSS - All of your TI stationary sounds neat! I bet everyone at your school knows what your favourite movie is. Heh.
rachel: everyone in my school already know about my TI obsession. ![]()
TSS - Heh. Heh. That’s nothing to be ashamed of. ![]()
Nope, I was a Senior last year… ![]()
JF: Lucky, I am going to be a senior this year! I think senior year is the most fun.
Well, I’m a sophmore (did I spell that right?) this year. I hope that is a fun experience.
I’m going to college. >__< Wish it was an art college but oh wells … I’m going to apply like mad to other colleges. Wish I did more research in Junior and Senior year- would’ve made my life a whole lot easier.
The Star Swordsman - Cool! Enjoy your “incredible” set of stationary. ![]()
I’m with FONY in that I’m going to college, thank the Lord. I’m chomping at the bit waiting to get into the place, but I’ll only have to hold off for a few more days before I get my wish. This will be my first step to Pixar Animation Studios, dudes! ![]()

Oh I will! I shall enjoy these till graduation!
Mitch: Are you going to an art school?
Of my classes, the only one in relevance to art is painting, and painting is interesting though it takes forever and sometimes annoys the hell outta me. =P
The Star Swordsman - Haha. ![]()
FONY - Oh no. I’m just going to attend a regular, local college. Art is by no means the only subject you can take there, as there is a good haul of courses available for “grabs”. Even the art classes themselves are broken down into several subjects (ie., life drawing; traditional art; etc…).
Your college only has painting as an art subject? Man, that’s not fair. I never was much one for painting (except for when I was little), although I do love to observe artwork that deals with the genre.

Have fun with college Mitch! Good luck tommorw! I hope you don’t get oo busy that you don’t get too busy that you stop showing up at Pixar Planet.
The Star Swordsman - Thank you very much! ![]()
I’m rather nervous, but I’m also undeniably excited. This will be the first step towards the rest of my career-dipped life, and I can’t wait to get started! ![]()
And don’t worry, I wouldn’t abandon this place for anything. I love it too much, and all of you guys are wonderful internet buddies! Not to mention, I’m a moderator now, so I really couldn’t stop coming altogether anyway.
(snigger)
Whoop-ee!!! ![]()

Have fun, Mitch. I’m really excited on your behalf.
I hope you gain more knowledge and experience for animating. It’s great that you are going to keep coming here. Seriously, this place wouldn’t be the same without you.
I’m going into my senior year of high school. I really like my schedule, because I think I get out of school at 12:40 in the afternoon! It’s 2 hours earlier than the time I used to get out of school in my previous years. School for me starts August 27th, so in like 2 weeks. Monday thru Thursday of that week are all half days, and Friday is my first full day. I really wish I could have more of a summer vacation though.
Mitch: Actually they had more art classes, but painting was the only one I could find in one of the blocks I fit into. I hope I get better at painting through this- it’s quite interesting once you get the hang of it.
I’m actually quite scared because I’m not sure exactly when I start, but I think it’s the next Monday coming up. Orientation’s Thursday, so that’s my assumption. Stupid how they don’t explain it all anywhere in the booklets or the website. I hate this island. >_<
Welp, I recently returned from my first class, and this is what I have to say on the matter:
First of all, my very first class is interesting, yet rather “off the course”, as you might say. Truth be told, I picked the wrong class – a dud – , so now I shall have to swtich classes. If possible, I am going to “swap” “2D Design” for “Life Drawing”, as the latter subject is more up my alley career-wise.
It was rather disappointed to find that my very first class was, in itself, a disappointment. The teacher acted as if he had been there and seen that and hadn’t had enough coffee over the past two and a half years. Poor fellow. (Eheh.) Oh well… I look forward to one of my Tuesday classes, which happens to be “Drawing and Composition”, which is exactly what I want and require.
Secondly, the campus that I am attending is absolutely gorgeous! At least, it is for Southern California. (snigger) I’ve been to the college numerous times before, but I didn’t release how vast and immense it was until today. Quite intriguing, I must say…
So yeah. I’m having fun already, even though I didn’t have much fun this morning. Go figure. Heh. ![]()
rachel - Aw, gee whiz. Well, thank you very much, rachel! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In
Love" />
Marie - Have fun! ![]()
FONY - Ah, I see.
Well, don’t be too nervous. Think of it as like…like an adventure of some sort; that’s how I imagine things in situations such as those. Sometimes I’ll fantasize that I’m lost in a jungle and must excavate myself out into the open, or I’ll pretend that I’m trapped in some unusual environment and must find a way out. Crazy, I know, but it works for me! ![]()

Your first day seems kinda an adventure. I can’t wait for mine in two days.
