School

Well, my first days of school were great. Here is a quick little review of my day.

Drama was great. My teacher has picked me as her favorite student already!  Well, she just likes me because I have been with her for so long.

Honors Pre Calculus was much more fun than what I thought it would be. My teacher wants us to develop a love and passion for math. He is quite hilarious too.

Econ, well, boring class, but to make things worse, my classmates are a bunch of distractors and talkers.

Digital Media seem like a intresting class. I am going to learn how to make movies and be a porfessional at it. But there are so many rules, guidelines, and things to keep in mind. This makes this class a little harder. BUt i can take it.

Clasical Choir, oh boy am I so happy to be back in this class. A new year, new music, more singing, more fun!

British Liturature, I hope, will be enjoyable as the year goes on. We have already got 2 projects assigned to us, and there is going to be a lot of reading involved. Still, I am not too worried about that class either.

Your first days at school sound like a blast, TSS. That Digital Media class sounds awesome. :sunglasses:

Well, it does! I can’t wait for more surprises!

I’m excited because next year I will be taking a class in computer graphics.

Oh I am sure you are going to enjoy that class Bill. My girlfriend took that class last year and she enjoyed it and every thing she did.

Most of you guys have interesting college classes. I just did what was needed to pass the core work, 2 years community, then 2 years of courses for my major. I really wanted to take art, but I was way too picky, so I went the Biology route.

Oh boy, a chem lab at 6:30am? AWESOME!

Get stuck with taking Organic Chemistry over the summer? Have fun studying 8 hours a day with a test every week.

2 1/2 years of Calculus I will never use again.

And the coup de grâce,
Raising, breeding, counting, and mapping the genes of over 300 fruit flies.

But hey, it got me out of English classes and long boring term papers, which I was perfectly fine with.

I hope to get a job at Pixar(or illustrating something), but my goals are more realistic, say in another 20+ years when I’m assuming I’ll have enough money to pay for art college tuition. :sunglasses:

Mitch - you’re welcome anytime. Also, twice a semester we have CFAW, aka College for a Weekend, where high schoolers and potential transfer students come and check the school out - see the campus, live in a dorm room, sit in on classes, etc… They also bring in big-name bands (Christian, of course, but still awesome), bring in the really good food, and basically roll out the red carpet. You may not be interested in transferring, but seriously - the school gets pretty crazy around here during CFAW, but it’s one of the best times to see the school. Besides, if you visit this year, you can hang out with me! (Except I’d always be introducing you to everyone as Mitch and everyone would be wondering what I’d be talking about.)

TSS - Exactly, and considering what career I want, it’s an absolute no-brainer that I would be excited about it. In fact, I wish I was taking it this year but I obviously have no control over that.

raises hand HIGH Oh yea, I remember the good ol days…when summer vacation used to be 3 MONTHS and regular school winter break was 2 WEEKS!

sighs if only, those days made a return …

Methinks the breaks get shorter because the kids get stupider. xD Well, some of them.

I’m actually looking forward to college now that I made a friend and all the kids are in every class with me except painting because I found out that stupid little me is the one who made me have a full week of school by choosing painting class. >_< Oh well. It’s just till after December’s over anyways.

The Star Swordsman - It sounds as if you’re having a grand ol’ time! I’m glad that a good majority of your classes are fun-filled and entertaining!

KE - Cool! I wish I lived closer to your current residence, that way it would be easier for me to visit the school you attend. Oh well. Maybe one of these days…

Haha! Yeah, I kinda wondered that myself as far as acquaintances go. If we ever do meet each other we’re all going to be calling ourselves by our screen names.

FONY - Puh-ha! Yeah, stupider. Exactly. (snigger)

With week one in the books, I have already got a bunch of homework and projects, mainly from my academic classes. I think it might be a little hard for me to visit PP more often than I usually do because of my HW load.

Ugh I went through my first day of school. I’m sick but I’m going. Got two 2 page homeworks … but it’s about myself so shouldn’t be too hard.

Introduction to Theatre is amazing- I’m not a very outgoing person but it was fun to act out little things like we did today. I’m looking forward to more of that class. Would’ve been more fun if I felt better. >__<

And I had US Issues- which I’m going to really stink in because Bowling For Columbine made me hate some of the things my country does. >__<

FONY: Intro to Theatre, good choice! Glad you’re enjoying that. I’ll be interested to hear more about that class, the world can never have too many thespians.

I’m loaded up with theatre electives this year, too… although I still have a whole week left before I start. I swear it wasn’t my decision. (I mean, I’m not complaining, but it still wasn’t my decision.)

You can say that again! Thespians rock! I can’t wait to get people at my school into the works of music and acting!

I am seriously loving college. It’s not even funny. I love it. I’m actually getting to apply my knowledge, hone my skills, and do something for a cause. Just a few more years and I’ll be walking through the doors of Pixar Animations Studios one of these days! You’ll see!

You love college huh Mitch? Makes me really, really excited for when I go to college.

Yay! Today is the start of a big adventure for me too. Today’s my orientation! I’m not too sure what we’ll be doing from 9 to 5, but I’m so excited I could bust!
(Oh, and did anyone catch the totally awesome eclipse? 'Tis a sign from above I tells ya!
…I hope it’s a good one  )

DELF: I dunno if I’ll ever be an actress, probably not, but it is a really interesting class nonetheless. =D

I’d be more excited if this were the college I wanted to go to, but it most definitely isn’t. =P At least with my ā€˜Intro to Visual Arts’ class, it won’t be so bad. I might be applying to disney college soon, once I get some time at home to look into it.

I’ll be less stressed as soon as I get that stupid Theatre book and read the thirty pages- it’s due tomorrow. O__O I’m going to have to be on top of all my school work if I want to not drive myself to chronic depression. >_<

Haha. Yeah, it was totally awesome, dude! I had never seen an eclipse before, so I got up at 2:52 AM to see it. I was all, ā€œWoooaaahā€¦ā€. (snigger) :stuck_out_tongue:

FONY - Get a massage.
