School

Thanks Mitch, lol! I’ve been meaning to go back to my chiropractor for one session. My back’s been killing me lately.

Anyways, I’m in school right now. >_< Took me a little over an hour to get my student ID card, and now I have to be in Issues in College Life class in under 30 minutes … and afterwards I have to go to the bookstore and buy three textbooks. x_x I’ll be so happy once this is all over.

We’re supposed to see Superbad today but I’m so tired and stressed I might fall asleep. Or, if it’s as funny as they say, I’ll be cheered up … but I’m getting off topic. ^^;

It was a school night, so that explains why I missed the elipse, but most of my friends at school did talk about it. I felt so left out.

No one talked about an eclipse around here. :stuck_out_tongue: I guess those sorts of things people just lose interest in.

Ugh I’m so exhausted from school. =P I’m going to shower and going to bed. I don’t think I can take 12 weeks of this. >_<

Plus the fact that on our lovely east coast, we had to wait until 5-something for it. I would’ve stayed up to watch it if that hadn’t been the case.

I got my schedule today. Minus my theatre classes; it seems like the organizer guy is taking his sweet time getting those set up. I’ve got two classes over on the girls’ school campus this year, right before morning break and right before lunch, so I get to spend both of my breaks over there, which makes me happy. And I don’t have to eat in our 14-health-code-violations cafeteria any more. Surprisingly, I’m in the “lesser” English teacher’s American Lit class; at the end of last year, I was pretty sure the super-hard one was absolutely begging to have me. I’m not complaining, though, the less work in those classes the more I can focus on theatre.

I just got ready for school, I’m leaving soon! 7th grade!WOO-HOO!

I’m so angry since a friend who took Intro to Visual Arts tells me there’s no drawing in it, just slide shows and museum visits and lots of papers to write. O_o If I can’t handle it I’m dropping it. Sure it’s like Art History and I need it, but if I can’t handle it I’m not staying.

Haha. Yeah, you should get one!

You’re welcome.

The Star Swordsman, DElf, and FONY - I thought of taking a picture of the eclipse, but I was rather tired so I thought to myself, “Naah. I’ll just do it next time.” “Next time”… Pff. What a stupid thought! You can imagine how much I regret thinking that now. :stuck_out_tongue:

And how could people get tired of science?! It’s awesome! It’s wonderful! It’s amazing! If I wasn’t so interesting in animation and animals I would probably be either an archaeologist or an astronaut…

But back on-topic…

I am so excoted fpr my school’s activities with the theatre! Our theatre is almost about finished with renovation. OUr play is going to be Diviners, and our musical is going to be Hello Dolly!

This stinks- I have 8 to 1 pm tomorrow, and a two-hour break between classes. >_< Aghh… I just wanna get it done with. Just got back from the city and it’s 9 pm and I’m soooo tired. Definitely catching up on sleep Friday.

Anyone go to a lecture yet? I hope it’s not so bad, aside from the note-taking part.

FONY - If it makes you feel any better, I have a Tuesday class that goes from 6:00-10:50 PM. I was freakin’ tired last night, let me tell you. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeesh. Well I have a class from 6:55 to 9 something, tonight. And, I heard the campus is creepy at night, not to mention it has a scary history that leads people to believe it’s haunted. O_O

FONY - Cool! I would love to take a peek at a haunted campus.

Me too. My schol seems big, but even at night, it is very, very quiet, clean, and safe.

My school is small, but I’ve always hated being at an empty school at night…

I used to have to cross my campus at night, so here’s my tip for you, FONY: See if you have any friends in the class that can walk you to your dorm/car/whatever. Guy friends would be preferred, but a group of girls is safer than walking alone. If not, then your campus security/police should normally give an escort. Most of the time, my campus is pretty safe, but if I have a long way to walk, or I start feeling creeped out, I’ll give LUPD a call.

It was freaky. No ghost sightings thankfully, but I’m very happy that the building I was in was new- used to be just an open field. Wouldn’t want to have a classroom that used to be the dorms of some tortured souls. >_< Don’t know if there actually are ghosts, but it’s an interesting, yet sad story. But, I won’t get into it since I’ll be off topic.

Mitch: I hope to use my camera there at night just to see if anything shows up, lol! I’m strange like that. Who knows, worth a shot.

KE: Thanks for the tip. One of my parents picked me up at the door, so it wasn’t so bad. They’ll be able to pick me up every night until whenever I get my license.

There have been rumours that they might change the school break system over here so that there will no longer be a summer holiday, but lots of little one week breaks throughout the year. Sounds stupid, if you ask me- all students need some time to unwind and relax properly, and a one week break just doesn’t do it! I hope they don’t actually commit to these plans.

Back to school on Tuesday. We’re having an American themed induction thing, and we have to bring our own food. Just bought some dips to bring in…I’m sure it’ll be enough.

American-themed, eh? :unamused: Is ketchup one of your “dips”?

I much prefer a proper summer break, as well. I don’t care if statistics show that kids forget loads of stuff over summer break. Because since when did statistics care about letting kids be kids?

DElf- I don’t get it either. One of my friends has to bring in quiche- correct me if I’m wrong, but since when was quiche an overly American type of food?

FONY - Yeah, do it! (heheh)

lizardgirl - Cool! Ya’ should have brought some hot dogs. You can’t get any more American than that.
