What? I’m sorry to any of those who enjoyed Space Chimps, but that film was ridiculous! Why in the world would anybody want a sequel 
I haven’t even seen the first one and I don’t plan to. Why the hell would they make a sequel? It is direct to DVD though isn’t it?
They do this all the time when only 1 kid in the world actually likes the thing. They make a Direct-to-DVD release for him. He must feel pretty special. (You can tell I’m pretty pissed about the direct-to-DVD phenomenon.)
Give me a break. Nobody liked the first one and now they have a DIRECT-TO-VIDEO sequel? 
When will they learn?
LAWL. This is hilarious. I have to buy this on DVD when it comes out and invite some friends round to watch it.

I’m sick of this stuff. They want to make a few bucks, but can’t think up an original idea, so they use an OLD original idea that wasn’t good to begin with!
I saw Space Chimps on DVD and fell asleep half way through. It was way too predictable and almos everyone in the cast was there for money. I’m sure this will be no different knowing the usual outcome of Direct-To-Video sequels.
I can already tell you that i didn’t like the feel of the first one.
Never saw it…probably never want to see it. It just seems wimpy.
They would have to get some real improvement in this one to make it even worthy of my looking into it.
It reminded me of “Fly Me to the Moon”.
I saw Space Chimps the other day. I actually kind of liked it. But one of the things that ruined it was the main character Ham III. He was so darn annoying I just wanted to start choking him. 
you shouldn’t give your opinion on a film you haven’t seen and expect anyone to take it seriously. Remember these films are geared towards children, and not picky adults. The first one was great, with the right amount of action, and had a lot of hilarious parts. It’s one of the only movies that my 1 year old daughter watches and keeps her attention all the way through. There are several great reasons on why they should make a sequel, but the main one being that it’s for kids, and they will love it. i really don’t know what these no brains think was ridiculous about it. Must need to go back to teletubbies or Dora…
Sorry, Joker420, guess we’re just used to enjoying good quality movies, like Pixar films for example. It’s not our fault that they’ve raised the bar so high.
Anyway, that’s great that some kids love it, but let’s be honest, the first wasn’t a masterpiece and I doubt the sequel will be. Pixar films manage to entertain both the kids and the adults and so when you come across something like Space Chimps it’s obvious that it was made as a money-making machine. And yes, as something to entertain the kids at home.
Mreh, if it’s your kind of film, then fair enough. All I know is that I’d prefer to watch Dora the Explorer. Perhaps not Teletubbies…they’re just a bit too weird.

Well thank you lizardgirl for not taking it as an attack, just a mere opinion. No it wasn’t a masterpiece, but it did what it needed, and that was entertain my child for 2 hours. I still wonder what was so bad about it. I laughed so hard when Kilowat got snatched up by the flesh devouring beast, lol. My friends got a kick outta that too. My daughter still watches it every day along with toy story 2. Lol, I would rather have my eyes removed then to watch another Dora show, aaahhh! Anywho, we’ll see what the sequel does, it is taking a long time for them to come out with it. Maybe they put some more thought and effort into it.

Didn’t see the first and I don’t plan on seeing the second either. Not really my type of film, but I wouldn’t refuse to watch it if a kid I was babysitting was watching it.
