I’m sure that most of us are excited for summer. I know I am. So, what are the members of Pixar Planet planning on doing this summer?
I get out of school on June 11. On June 13, I’m heading off to Florida with my family. We’ll be going to Disney World and staying in one of the hotels. I’m so excited! After that, I’m not doing much. I’ve decided to start working out in my garage. Should be fun… I might go to the beach a few times. That’s about it for me…
May 29th - July 23rd: Watch Up; spend millions on theater tickets in the process.
July 23rd - July 28th - Go to Comic-Con; spend millions more on junk that I don’t desperately need.
In addition to this, I’m thinking of asking my dad if he might take my sister and I to Disneyland on my sister’s birthday. Other than that, things are probably going to remain pretty dry activity-wise at my place.
Well, I have camp for two weeks after the first week of summer, and then colorguard for two days every week, and then I also have to find a job.
Unfortuently I only really get one month of summer because marching band starts at the end of July and school doesnt start until the last week of August.
My last exam is on the 17th of June (OMGZ last important exam before university ever! ) and then after that I’ll probably be celebrating a lot as well as working and relaxing. I’m going to Lanzarote with my mum at the end of July, and then in August I’ll probably start preparing my university application and all that sort of stuff.
Can’t wait for the summer holidays now. With my first exam today (yes, I’m on Pixar Planet when I have an exam in an hour and a half- what can I say, I love this place! ) it’s going to be a bit of a slog but hopefully it’ll be worth it come results day.
Spring-clean the house.
Indulge in more fanwork (ie mash-up trailers and art pieces).
Go watch summer releases at the movies (Like Terminator Salvation, Transformers 2 and Ice Age 3. Why did you have to postpone Up, Australia? )
Work on my final year animation project.
Get the hang of stupid Maya.
Start exercising. My muscles are so wasted…
Go out and discover new places more often in Sydney.
I don’t I’ll be going on vacation or back to my home country this summer.
lizardgirl - Forgive my ignorance, but where exactly is Lanzarote? Yeah, mid-year assessments are such a pain.
thewisecookiesheet - What’s colourguard? Hope you snag a great job!
TSS - You’ll love Hawaii. I have nothing but good memories of it.
Pixfan - Lucky you! Mine’s in three weeks. Wow, you got two stints! Extra moolah!
Mitch - You’re so lucky to be in America. I want to go to Comic-Con at least once in my lifetime. Disneyland Anaheim or Disneyworld Orlando? I’ve been Anaheim, and I can say both the original Disneyland and California Adventureland are awesome!
mo - Oh my gosh! Disney World Orlando? I haven’t been there, but yes, it’s (in my imagination) the biggest (not sure if it’s the best, but it’s still massive) theme park of all of 'em, so lucky you! Good luck on your training regime!
thedriveintheatre- Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands, sort of to the left of North Africa…ish. And these exams are actually at the end of my school year, and pretty much define what’s going to happen in the rest of my life, so no pressure.
Sounds like you’ll be having a nice relaxing summer! You’re right, the summer is a great time to catch up on things. Yay for spring-cleaning!
thedriveintheater: Colorguard is the girls you see flipping the flags in a marching band show. They also dance, flip rifles (fake) and sabers (swords).
I’m just joining because I need the excercise and I want a secure spot on our marching show. I was going to be in last years show, but my section leaders liked a freshman more so they replaced me. Plus I’ve always wanted to learn how to flip a flag, so this will be good.
The Star Swordsman - Dang. Hawaii. I hope that you have a great time!
thedriveintheatre - Ha-ha. Yeah, living in Southern California has its advantages… and its disadvantages. If you ever get a chance to attend the Comic-Con you have to do it. It’s worth it, I swear…
Oh, I meant Disneyland in Anaheim. They’re having a “get in free on your birthday” deal (which I suppose applies to all of the Disney parks in the U.S. and, quite possibly, abroad), so I’m going to ask my dad if we can go there on my sister’s birthday. This would be one of those rare times when we go to Disneyland when my dad’s not working for the Disney company, because when he is we can just all get in free anytime we want. We’ll probably just go to California Adventure park if we do go, though, since Disneyland is just too crowded for us these days and we know all of the rides by heart anyway. Besides, the California Adventure lot has the animation studio… and the Pixar area…
stay at home…maybe put in a slight trip to the bowling alley but other then that not much.
I do want to write almost all of my fanfictions and books over the summer though. Ansonia is my best priority at the moment…its a life book i need to finish.
-Doing some courses for school.
-Riding ALOT. I have my own horse to ride plus two to train and one to train and sell.
-Working.
-Going to the lake/amusement park/stampede.
-Hanging out with friends.
-Maaaybe going to Vancouver.[/list]
I’m taking the annual trip with my family to Hilton Head Island. Anybody here see Salty Dog shirts all over the place? It’s the best restaurant ever and in Hilton Head
Not much planned except for going to see Up opening day with a TON of my friends and not friends. Other than that, draw, swim, rest, sleep in, or work out that FLAB that’s hanging over the bed!!!
LOL…have you ever thought about writing sequels to take up some time??
I guess i should announce what is going on now before it really happens…
My dad and I were searching for a summer job for me to get that way i wouldn’t stay home (like yamfox above) and play games. After looking around we came upon a Camp in Colorado…we volunteered me and now i will be heading there for 5-10 weeks of training and work.
I won’t be able to get to PP anytime while i’m there so you guys won’t see me for a while. My stories will be updated June 1st for the final time this summer…Presto Chango on the other hand will (hopefully) continue through the help of Soue and BDD who are the last writers for it.
Its really fun from what i can tell, the camp looks great. Can’t wait…
My summer plans are writing fanfiction, drawing lots of pictures (I’ve taken on a 100 picture challenge I found on deviantArt), going camping, going to Lake Erie, swimming in my lame pool (it’s not very deep since I have a 6 year old brother), and hanging out with my friends. That’s about it. Oh, and go to see Up this Friday for my b-day! My b-day is the day before Up comes out. I have an awesome b-day!
-See Up… many times in theater
-Find a summer job
-Work on some animation
-Use my sketchbook daily
-Go on bike rides through the local zoo
-Take loads of pictures (I’m a picture fiend)
