The trailer for this came out- I don’t know exactly, but from
veiwing it, I might go see this movie. The animation looks especially well done.
Sony Pictures Animation’s
second movie by the way: The first was Open
Season. The cast looks great including James Woods. Not bad at
all.

I found it rather odd that
another penguin movie is going to be released right after Happy
Feet, but other than that…I really want to see this! Dancing penguins was awesome – surfing
penguins are equally cool!
Yep – I’ll be at the theater when this one comes out for sure.

I like penguins. I’ll be seein’ this if I hear it’s good.
All I can say is
amazing. Water is ver hard to animate. But this looks incredibly beautiful. Will this do better than Ratatouille?
I doubt it, but it will be a good film.

How can you say that?! I would almost call that a violation…
(snigger) I’m kidding. But yeah, the thing does look great. Computer animated water just keeps getting
better and better…
Here is the official website, by the way, if anyone is curious:
Surf’s Up
It looks like it is attracting a someone more broader
audience. One is for kids, but also for people out there who love to surf.

It seems like it is geared more towards a teenage audience, as well, with (perhaps) a little
adult humor mixed in. I’m quite eager to see this movie now…
But you have penguins as characters. How can kids not resist this?

They can’t, which is why it is also suitable for kids too, like you said. Sorry – I didn’t mention that
one.
Personally, I hope that Surf’s Up will appeal to all people:
Kids
Teens
Heh – “dudes”.
I think
the adults will go just for the adult humor. But this proves that this movie has something for everyone.
The first thing I thought was, ‘great, another penguin movie’, but I guess it
doesn’t look too bad. I’ll wait for some reviews, first.

Actually I read that the water is real - bits of Surf’s
Up are supposed to be live action backgrounds with animated characters, like Dinosaur was.

Did anyone else see the premire
of the trailer last night on FOX?
Mitch

There was a premiere? Cool – I’ll have to go check that
out on the official Fox and Surf’s Up websites!
Was this the official trailer
or a teaser?
Wow, cool a new
trailer!? Have to check it out…
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Ash Brannon – director of
Toy Story 2 (my favorite Pixar film) – is one of the directors on this one! I’m getting more and more excited!

TSS - It was an offical trailer. You can probably see it if you go
to see Meet the Robinsons. It was playing before that.
An official trailer? Wow, totally cool! I must see it. I wonder if they have it online
anywhere.

Welp, I just saw it. That was actually
pretty cool! Hilarious, too, I must say. I love how they created the film like a documentary-type features.
(snigger)
Looks like a blast! I’m definitely going to be seeing this one…
