Mmm – not a bad gross overall. I think it
deserves a little more than that, though. Oh well. It’ll earn its worth over the next few weeks, hopefully…
Thanks for the link/information, Bill !
By the way, this is my
favorite line from the film:
"He’s a dirty trashcan full of
poop." - Smudge
Wow, SUrf’s Up didn’t do that bad for an opening week.
Thanks bill.

You’re welcome.
I believe we
have a possible nomination for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars.
Yes. I
think, along with best animated feature, you can probably nominate this movie for every single nomination out
there. This is according to what my friends say. As you can tell, he really loved the movie.
I think, aside from Ratatouille, it has to go up against Meet the Robinsons as well. I doubt
Shrek 3, but it is a possibility
I’m really hoping Shrek 3
isn’t considered. After all, the Academy tends to just have three nomination slots for Best Animated Feature and
I predict Robinsons and Ratatouille will fill two of those. As for that last spot, I’m really hoping either
Surf’s Up or the Simpsons Movie get it, though considering the moron comment at the last Oscars ("Now all
animated films are made with computers, kekekeke"), I’m thinking they might ignore the people of
Springfield.

I could definitely see it up for Sound Mixing.

We may break the threshold
needed for 5 nominations this year. Last year we only missed by 1.

I saw it, I really
liked it. And it had very good animation.
What about best score or song? How was the music in here?

The score wasn’t anything exceptional.
All the music was Top 40’s for the last 10 years with music as recent as Green Day’s latest.

The DVD drops Tuesday. Anyone (besides me) getting it?
Oooh, me!
Wal-Mart will sell limited copies of Surf’s Up with a music CD (meh) and Big Z’s necklace. Tubular.
~~=oP
I might rent it and watch it with my girl friend. I might buy it later on.

I promised my sister that I would buy the thing for her if she watched Ratatouille with me in the theater for the…one billionth time. Henceforth, I owe her this… (snigger)
I would have made the decision to buy the DVD anyway, as I absolutely love the film. It’s probably the only computer animated film that’s worthy of competing against Ratatouille at the Oscars, in my opinion (though I’d rather have Ratatouille win the award – heheh).
So yep, I’m definitely going to buy this one! I gotta get it for this line alone:
“He’s a dirty trashcan full of poop.” - Smudge

Personally, I don’t need another penguin movie. I liked the penguins in Madagascar and the Happy Feet penguins, but that’s enough pengies for me, lol.
I’ve never seen it but I have a toy of that strange beaver dude thing with the odd hairdo … won it from a claw machine.
I dunno if I’ll see it- we have a copy and my brother said it was alright, but the commercials annoy me so I think the movie will.

The commercials annoy me too. Like heck, really. Usually commercials for things make me want to see the movie more, but this isn’t the case here.
