The DVD has no features except that 50th animated film countdown video and two deleted openings.
My favorite scene in the movie was the last 10+ minutes. My favorite song was by far “I’ve got a Dream”, and it’s now in my top 5 favorite Disney songs. Pascal, Rapunzel and Flynn were my favorite characters, and I also really like [spoil]Rapunzel’s parents[/spoil], despite their lack of speaking lines. I think "Mother Knows Best"is my least favorite Tang;led song.
I got my dad to watch this, and he liked it! Now this is a very big deal top me because he hates every Disney movie except Aladdin and Mulan. This movie is just perfect. But, if I may say, I really think the first 20-30 minutes after the opening happens way too fast.
“I’ve Got a Dream” happens to be my favorite as well! It’s just a big smile-maker. I will agree that the half-hour or so past the opening does happen a bit too quick. The pacing is a little strange sometimes, but it works really well by the end. I’ve ordered it and it should arrive in the mail in a few days.
I already bought it in DVD, at first I didn’t enjoy any song at all but now I think that I see the light (veo en ti la luz in spanish) is pretty awesome
In answer to your question, here are my thoughts:
[spoil]Maybe, maybe not. My guess is if it does still grow, the piece from when she was younger stayed short because she kept it trimmed. This is highly likely, because it would look strange having just one brown stream of hair in all that blond. So yes, you could easily say it does still grow.[/spoil]
Heh, I love this movie so much you guys. I have had the music stuck in my head all day.
Although, [spoil]I don’t mind Rapunzel’s hair dark. My brother said that when her hair got cut, it made her look like me. xD I do prefer it long and blonde, though. [/spoil]
Also, Mother Gothel’s dress is my favorite. I love the medieval style clothing, anyways. Rapunzel’s dress is cute, too.
IV: Ahh, I see. Yeah, I agree with you there. I think [spoil]she should grow her hair out again after the movie. That would look really good on her.[/spoil]
Exactly. She’s so cute, she can do [spoil]either color. I just like long hair better on girls. The thing is, even when she’s blond, she has brown eyebrows. Have you noticed that? It blends well with her blond hair, but sets her up perfectly for the color change.[/spoil]
See what I mean? They’re already [spoil]brown.[/spoil]
Spur of the moment theory about [spoil]whether Rapunzel’s hair would grow: What if - as long as her hair has the magic power, the cut-off snippet of brown stays short, because the magic represses it. Once all the magic is out of her, her now-normal hair would grow like any other person’s. That’s how I would rationalize it if I wanted her brown hair to grow.[/spoil]
I watched the movie again this morning, and enjoyed it very much (again). If Disney wants to do a home-video sequel, I have two requests: A big central plotline for Maximus the Wonder Horse! And, as a little subplot, the romance between Big Nose Thug and the Girl he meets at the end.
I know girls who have brown eyebrows and blonde hair.
I was watching the movie the other day. I have mixed feelings on Rapunzel’s apperence. Half of the time she looks stunningly beautiful, and other times her face looks like she’s 10 years old. Anyone else notice that? If she didn’t look so much like a little girl, she’d be way higher on my most beautiful princess list.
