Tangled

No, I know girls who look that way, too. I was just saying how perfectly it sets up the ending without being obvious. I like it, it wasn’t a nitpick. It’s perfect.

I mean, she’s less…[spoil]physically developed[/spoil], and shorter, but I always thought she looked 18. I think she’s gorgeous. i think it’s just her height, and that the other Disney girls have more pronounced feminine figures than Rapunzel. Just my take on it.

Not really her body I was talking about, but her face. It’s defintely like a 13 yeard for some of it. But since you brought up body, I like how she has a more realistic figure. Her waise is very small, but not like Auora’s or Jasmine’s. I always liked Pocahontas’ figure, very realistic and healthy.

I think it’s just as small, but it looks better because she’s thin all over, not just there. Jasmine and Aurora have small waists, but were very curvy around other areas. Know what I mean? I still think Rapunzel is very thin, but I don’t care. I just think they’re so pretty that way. 8D

Agreed, they are all lovely! I do get disturbed at Jasmine though, especially that one scene when her waist is the size of Aladdin’s hand! That girl needs some meat on her bones!

Here’s a fun video I found, of Rapunzel and Flynn at WDW, and they have discovered an iPad!

Good point. Although, does she still [spoil]have the magic after her tear heals Flynn, or was that kind of the end of it? Either way, on the long hair/short hair thing, I was just thinking in terms of, if a person wanted her to have long hair again, for fanfic/fanart purposes, how that could be explained.[/spoil]

This might be my theory, but i think that even after Rapunzel had her hair cut, she still had some magic insider her, symbolizing that her hair wasnt the source of her power, but her heart was.

That’s beautiful TSS!

 Guess what I saw last night?
Yep, I finally saw Tangled.
I LOVED it! The music was amazing, the characters were very likable, and I believe that now I will have the songs in my head for the rest of the week. :stuck_out_tongue: And I got the DVD just in time, it was the last one at the movie rental store, and I don’t have to give it back until Wednesday! parties I’m going to watch it again at least 2 more times before my mom takes them back.

TSS: That is such a cheesy but sweet theory! <3

K9Girl: I’m glad you loved it!

Yay for K9 girl! I knew you’d like it.

EJE: Well, yes. But, if she ate too lightly, would she be so shapely? Yes, she’s thin, but she seems healthy, or she’d be boney all over.

I have an idea about Rapunzel’s hair. [spoil]I think that her hair hair turning blond represents the loss of her innocence as she falls in love, experiences life, and becomes an adult, eventually realizing that Gothel had been lying about the world for 18 years. The color change from golden purity to dark brunette shows her becoming an adult and mature. Is this too silly?[/spoil]

Where did I say someone should eat more lightly? All I’m saying is that I love the Disney Princesses, but Jasmine’s waist is ridiculous. I mean come on, Aladdin can wrap his hand around that thing!

No, I wasn’t saying she should eat less. Sorry. I just meant she seems healthy to me, or she would be very tiny all over. Like say…Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas maybe. Nevermind. I totally messed up my own point by miswording everything. Sorry. :frowning:

No need to be sorry! I understand what you’re saying. I still love Rapunzel and Jasmine dearly! They are after all cartoons, I guess I’m just over thinking it.

Oh, okay. It’s just to me, an unhealthy girl would look like Violet, looking completely aneorexic. Maybe Jasmine’s waist is very thin, but her proportions made her seem normal to me. They’re all very thin, especially Ariel, Jasmine, and Rapunzel in my eyes. I see what you mean, it’s just that they all seem really small to me.

BTW, I hate to be distracting or anything, but what do you think of my hair idea? Too whimsical?

I think the idea makes perfect sense, actually. Especially because of the abruptness [spoil]of Flynn cutting it; Rapunzel had been living the same life for 18 years and for it to change drastically in one day makes sense with the symbolism.[/spoil]

I don’t think it’s silly at all! It makes perfect sense, I love the symbolism, it matches!

Thanks for seeing what I mean, guys(girls? XD). I’ve been debating whether to post it out loud or not. My ideas are usually not worth the gum on my shoe. 8D

This might be just me, but I always wondered why Mother Gothel never bothered to buy Rapunzel a pair of shoes.

I just saw Tangled with my best friend, and she loved it. I’m glad! We had a lot of fun pointing out all the hidden meanings and such, heh.
