The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn

Funny thing they’re both based on comics.

I adore Edgar Wright. He comes across as such a normal guy in interviews, but I think his wit and his direction is brilliant.

He’s got a good future ahead.

By the way, I’ve just got my tickets.

I distinctly remember booking my tickets for Tintin whilst in the pub with my sister texting me about 6 times, “have you booked them yet?!” :sunglasses:

I book all my tickets for all my films, but Tintin wasn’t selling until today.

I guess it’ll bomb here… :frowning:

It’ll be a shame if it does :frowning:. If it does, they might go all out for DVD sales.

I only book if its likely the showing is sold out, and coz we saw Tintin on the second day of release, it was rather full.

spirit I see you’re in the Tintin zone with your avvie )must love Tintin!

Yep, I’m a big fan of the franchise.

The film was finally released here today. Now I want to read all the books again.

Well, I’ll watch the 90’s TV series to compensate.

So did you see it?

Yes, finally. I’ve been waiting for it since 2008.

Did you like it?

I still need to check out the comics. It’ll probably be best if I did that before I see the movie. You know, to know more about the character.

There’s not much to know about him. He’s a young Belgian journalist, with a knack for adventure. He has a very intelligent dog named Snowy and is usually very optimistic.

That’s mostly it, so don’t expect to get a back story, or anything.

Thanks for the heads up. I still would like to read the original comics before I see the movie. Theres something I’m not sure of. What’s the Captain’s name? The one who was with Tin Tin.

Archibald Haddock.

Blistering barnacles!

Thundering typhoons ! Is somebody talking about me ?

I was reacting in suprise that Ballboi didn’t know the Captains name!

Professor Calculus is still my favourite character though. John Cleese would be perfect!

Calculus is awesome.

I specially love his sudden anger explosions.

Ah yes. Coz he’s an old goat

According to Box Office Mojo, neither Tintin nor The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo did too well, with both films picking up $8m Wednesday to Sunday. Which is a massive injustice, in my opinion, when the number 2 movie is Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. :imp:
