Wait, so the book is out? Last time I checked it was listed as unreleased?
There is/was a seller on Barnes and Noble that already has it shipping.

Says it’s out of stock now though… but Barnes & Noble has it listed as on sale so perhaps you can get it from there now.
Good to hear that someone actually has it!
I was hoping it would be on sale in stores, by now
Has anyone received a copy of this book from Amazon yet? I pre-ordered it back in January, but it still hasn’t shipped. The order just went into the “processing” mode so I can’t cancel it. I love the “Art of” books that Pixar puts out. I can’t wait for this one!
I also pre-ordered my copy a long time ago and have yet to receive it. Amazon.com now says they’ll have the book in stock as of June 2, 2008.
If anyone really wants the book now, there was a someone on eBay that was selling it - and unless the seller states otherwise, they have to ship it out as soon as payment is made. Look and it up though, and ask the seller if they actually have the books “on hand” to ship. Worth a try if you don’t want to wait for Amazon.
Amazon now says “In Stock June 2nd” for the Art of Wall-E…
For those interested, an update:
“The Art of Wall-E” is now in stock at Amazon (or at least they got some in for those who pre-ordered it). They just sent an email notice saying the book has just shipped. Should arrive in a week or so.
Mine just shipped as well. I’m getting it tomorrow!
I ordered it tonight, hopefully it’ll be here before my Birthday (Wednesday).
Just got the confirmation that my copy has shipped too.
Amazon.com now says they have the book ‘in stock’ after having changed the status in the past two days from ‘in stock on June 2’ to ‘in stock on June 11’ to ‘in stock in July 1’.
Mines shipped and currently in PA. It should be here tomorrow, but atleast it’ll be by Wednesday!
For what it’s worth, I just got mine today (from Amazon… I live in California). Nice book, but I haven’t had any time to read it yet…
I got “The Art of WALL-E” today and…it’s a very amazing book. All the different and beautiful artwork etc. I really liked the explanation of the “former concepts” for the movie, which were a bit strange. ;D
And the “book itself” (I don’t know the word for it) has a BnL logo impregnated on it. It’s so cool.
Attention: After looking too long at one of the last pages you will know the ending (at least the “main essence” of it).
I recommend this book. It’s well worth the money. Now I can’t wait for the movie (even more).
Hey everyone, here are a couple photos from the book. I’ll have a short video up a little later, but hopefully these will tide you over until the movie comes out!

Thanks for the pictures, bennifer3000! The book looks so fab.
No problem. Like the other “Art of…” books, it’s an amazing collection. The paper is higher quality than previous books and some pictures are semi-glossy, however not fully gloss like “To Infinity and Beyond: The Story of Pixar Animation Studios”, if you’ve read that one.
I haven’t read it all because I don’t want the movie spoiled, but it there is definitely more content than the last couple of books. I was disappointed by “The Art of Ratatouille”, but this one has a ton of art as well as information.
A++
Haha, I just found something while looking through the book again…
Here’s a picture from another WALL-E related book: grainedit.com/wp-content/uploads … e-book.jpg
This robot is also mentioned in “The Art of WALL-E”…
[spoil]This real big robot from aboard the Axiom is called WALL-A (Axiom class). It’s the - as you already guessed - new and huge WALL generation which works on the “Waste Airlock” section of the Axiom. Looks like humans are generating even more trash since being on the Axiom. It doesn’t look too nice, though. I’m afraid it will hurt WALL-E somehow.[/spoil]
I’m saving up for this!
I thumbed through it at Barnes & Noble the other day. I’m a bit disappointed that it’s a true art book and the images outweigh the text quite I bit.
I guess I was expecting a “Making of” book when the cover clearly says “Art of”
I’ll pick it up one of these days anyway.
