I thought [i:38o8l6c1]"Oh, that HQ is going to be so cool "[/i:38o8l6c1] But they didn’t even give us a glimpse
I did see it a little in the [i:38o8l6c1]Cars[/i:38o8l6c1] game I think, or it may have been [i:38o8l6c1]Race 'O Rama[/i:38o8l6c1], I don’t quite remember [/size:38o8l6c1]
Hahahaha, and they’re shouting in Italian: “WE ARE THE 99%!”
Me too. It was part of the things I wanted to see that changed in R. Springs.
I don’t think much has changed with Radiator Springs since the end of the first film. They may have more visitors seeing how it’s home to Lightning McQueen and “Sir” Tow Mater.

Yeah, but, I have a question with the whole queen honoring Mater thing, wasn’t the mission supposed to be confidential? Wouldn’t it expose Finn & Holley quite a bit? Even though they have disguises and such
Can’t stop laughing at this mental image!
I agree. Like Mater doesn’t matter so much because he isn’t an actual spy, but wouldn’t it ruin it for Finn and Holley?
Plus, this brings another topic to my mind; paparazzi. How does it work in the Cars world? How is it possible that they don’t flock McQueen in his hometown at all? Is it illegal? But in one of the video games there is some driving around the town and asking for photos. I just don’t understand.
Rebecca: Hahahaha, it was so hard not to picture that.
That is true about the spy thing. Another thing I just thought of is that I hope Finn and Holley got some recognition by the Queen too. I mean, technically yeah, they weren’t the ones to solve the case but come on, they deserve just as much credit (if not, more ).
I think it works the same way like our stars. There are celebrities that don’t legally allow paparazzi around their homes, property, or personal places (as long as it doesn’t violate freedom of the press). But maybe they made it to where paparazzi was allowed only during certain times. Like maybe they’re not allowed to be there during Lightning’s off season or rest time. But I know I would sort of expect a lot of paparazzi to be there when Lightning came home in the beginning of Cars 2.

I think the same thing, poor Finn and Holley just sat back as the sidekicks when it was the other way around
Well, probably Finn is already a Sir.
Shellow: Exactly!
SoA: Maybe, that would be cool. But I think if he was, we would of known.
I don’t think we necessarily had to know, but thinking about it again, I doubt he is and he’ll ever be.
I mean, he’s a secret agent, making him a knight would attract much attention to him, wouldn’t it?
SM: Ahhh, yes, that is very believable!
I doubt Finn was knighted either, but I bet he is pretty high up in the agent rankings.
i thought the Press wasn’t mobbing him anymore because he isn’t the hot-shot rookie anymore, like they didn’t mob the King in Cars because (i think) he’s older, calmer, more paitent, whatever, while McQueen was full of himself, slightly hyper, and always looking for attention. So i guess McQueen sort of calmed down since settling down (if you can call not being home any weekend in the summer and trveling all over the country settled down) and the fame sort of leaked out of his head (thanks to Sally mostly…) .
at least thats what i thought… that and they may have decided to not mob anyone in RS out of respect of Doc (after they figured out who he was, of course…)
and on the Finn and Holley getting exposed, i don’t think the Queen is going to expose them… and they have their disguises and gadgets to help them, and if you watch James Bond (only other spy movies i watch…) he tells people his name all the time, but people don’t necessarily know that he’s a spy from his name…
I wondered why they don’t mob Lightning in Radiator Springs either. Even if Lightning told them not to, they still would because the media is hardheaded and stubborn. And it can’t be that no one knows where Radiator Springs is, because at the end of the first movie Lightning said he was setting up his racing headquarters there.
I think it could be the veteran racecar theory as sally&Stickers posted. I’ve watched real racing before, and it seems the young hotshots with potential get all the attention before they even prove they are worth it. This could have been the case with Lightning in the first Cars movie.
That is a good theory, sally&stickers. I don’t know though because it seems Lightning has become even more famous since the first movie. I mean, he was supposedly world famous but in the second movie, it seemed like he became an international superstar.
My turn. You guys know in the first movie where Lightning runs out of gas and Sally gets back at him by blinding him with her mirror? If you look super closely, she actually bends her whole mirror and obviously, real cars can’t do that. I know we were talking about what their exteriors were actually made out of and if it’s bendable and stuff. So, I guess that’s evidence for…something.

O.O Maybe they’re more flexible than we thought
then why can’t their dents heal? ive always wondered about this, if they are living creatures (which i would love to believe, and when i was little i believed that cars were alive…) they should be able to heal some injuries on their own (small dents and scrapes and such) the way we heal bumps and bruises, but Mater says he keeps all his dents as souvenirs… i wonder if the plastic parts of cars can heal but metal can’t? like on newer cars bumpers are plastic and that rebounds more than metal, but Mater’s an older car and mostly metal so his dents don’t heal? and Holly’s dent is a metal part… totally guessing on that
Hmm, well I think that’s the more ‘car over organism’ aspect of them. Their dents can’t heal but they can be pulled and straightened out. That’s what Ramone was going to do to Holley. In my opinion, I think their minor dents and scrapes should heal on their own too but I also think that if they could, it would ruin the allusion of them being actual cars, if that makes sense. You did bring up a very good point though; old metal cars and the newer cars made out of plastic. I wonder what their major differences are, what they cause, and if cars are born, then how in the heck did plastic cars come about?!

How would that happen? Would plastic cars just…evolve? Or what?
That’s what I’m trying to think of! I guess maybe that’s something that supports the “Manufactored” theory.

That theory scares me…cars making other cars…ehhh shiver
