azzstar, oh i knew it was there! But good eye.
updated The list is looking better and better, everyone. <img src=â{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gifâ alt=â;-Dâ title="Grin and
Wink" />
Well, we already spotted it at the truck stop along with a couple of other Pixar trucks - itâs on the list already. Iâm not sure if the truck is in that place that you mentioned as well, but either way we already caught it.
Itâs ok. I figured what the problem was, and it wasnât your fault. Itâs because when you show the pictures here, they are too wide for this forumâs layout so it resizes them automatically, but if you were to link to the picture instead, this wouldnât happen. But you can continue doing what you are doing, Iâll just right click, and press âView Imageâ to see the full size of the picture, so itâs no problem. And by the way, the screenshots you have provided have been very helpful and save me a lot of time when updating, so thank you!
rachel: A little update, I am half-way done with my TI in-joke reference search. I am already on the 1 hour mark on the movie.
rachel - Congratulations! Your thread has now been turned into an official âStickyâ.
â Mitch
TSS - Cool. I canât wait to see what youâve found. If you have a lot of references you can always post half now and half later, if that would be easier.
Mitch - Thank you so much! <img src=â{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gifâ alt=â;-Dâ title="Grin and
Wink" />
Well, it isnât a lot rachel, but you will see.
No worries I understand what your saying, Iâll try my best to combine my post into one post.
rachel - My pleasure!
azzstar - Oh, awesome. Thank you very much.
â Mitch
Hey folks!
Iâm new here, so please correct me if what Iâm posting isnât right for this thread.
It may be a tad too obvious for yâall to care about mentioning, but in Cars, Lightning is wearing Lightyear tires, and itâs the Lightyear blimp instead of Goodyear.
And Iâm not sure if this counts as an Pixar In joke or not since it was a poke at an actor not another film, but the very first âsneaky jokeâ I caught in any of their films was in Toy Story.
When Buzz & Woody are being held by the evil kid next door, he traps them under a clothes basket w/ a tool box on top. Said tool box is labeled âBinford Toolsâ, which was a nod to Tim Allenâs âHome Improvementâ sit com. On that show he played a DIY tv show host, and that showâs official sponser was the made up âBinford Toolâ company.
Can I just say I love this thread? And I think Iâm gonna love this forum - I thought I was the only adult out there this Pixar crazy. (But I donât think they will ever top âCarsâ â most background jokes ever)
Gael4ce- I didnât realise about the whole Binford thing! Thatâs awesome! Thatâs a really good one to add to our pretty substancial list now.
And welcome to the forums!
Dude, I never knew that! about Binford Tools. How very intresting.
And welcome to PP Gael4ce!
Hi, Gael4ce! Welcome to Pixar Planet.
Thanks for the couple of Cars references, Iâll have to add them in next time. If you have spotted a lot of other Cars in-jokes, feel free to submit some more (that section is looking a bit bare. Heheh). Unfortunately I canât add the Home Improvement reference in, since this list is for Pixar in-jokes only, but yeah, the Binford tools reference is one of my favourite inside jokes in Toy Story.
Yeah, me too, before coming to Pixar Planet. Isnât it great? <img src=â{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gifâ alt=â;-Dâ title="Grin and
Wink" />
Iâd donât think this was added to the list yet. I donât have Toy Story on DVD but Roly Poly Clown can be seen as the toy sitting next to the car track that Buzz slides down, when Buzz first looks over the bed!
On a side note, I just watched my Toy Story video yesterday and its funny how the cover of the box says: âDisneyâs Toy Storyâ with no mention of Pixar on the cover.
Hereâs one for Monsters Inc
The paper which Boo is reaching out for sayâs âMaryâ, the actual name of the person (Mary Gibbs) who voices boo in the movie.
I havenât got a screen shot of this, but when McQueen goes to the Radiator Springs Curious, you could see the snowman from Knick Knack in the globe which McQueen and Lizzie are looking at.
Iâve added a ton of references to the Toy Story 2 section - some of them are quite clever. Take a look and Iâm sure you will be surprised that you didnât see them before. I didnât have enough time to add your contributions that were posted throughout the thread since the last update, but I will add them soon. In the meantime, feel free to keep on submitting. Thanks guys! <img src=â{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gifâ alt=â;-Dâ title="Grin and

I didnât notice the birthdays and money signature. Awesome, Rachel!
I saw this video on youtube that gave us âWall-E Locationsâ in previous Pixar movies. I donât think it is true and they just photoshop it. Iâll see if I can find a link.
Nice References, didnât notice them before.
No update this time, but I thought Iâd share a few other interesting things I found in Toy Story 2âŠ
Does anyone recognise this pink bear that makes an appearance in Toy Story 2? I canât remember if/when Iâve seen it beforeâŠ
Here are a couple of funny toys that are sold in Alâs Toy Barn: âHostile Takeoverâ game, âDonât eat the jalepenos or drink the waterâ game. (!!!)
And lastly, on the money that is shown during during the Alâs Toy Barn commercial, on the right hand side there is a chicken character named⊠Rachel! Heheh. I think her full name may be âRachel Raffaelâ, but still, you donât know how excited I was when I spotted my own name hidden in a Pixar film.
E PLURIBUS CHICKEN!
That pink bear? Go to Toy Story at the beginning of the staff meeting before Woody brings up the moving buddy issue. He checks on the toys on the shelf to make sure they can hear him. Among these toys is your pink bear.
