openteng: Welcome to Pixar Planet forums. And about the Chinese takeout food container, I forgot all about that, but I had a hunch they were in A Bug’s Life and Monsters, inc. I never knew about Ratatouille, though. Good find.
Welcome to PIxar Planet openteng. And to comment about your findings, I have to say i never noticed that roling clown in Monsters inc. NIce find.
I update it!! ^^
hehe~your administrations make me feel that my work pay off~~
Thank all of you~!
openteng - Nice spotting! I never even realized that the Chinese take-out boxes in Linguini’s refrigerator were the same ones that appeared in A Bug’s Life and Monsters, inc. Kudos to you for taking the time to look through all of those television commercials that Hamm skipped through, as well.
Again, good eye, and welcome to Pixar Planet!

Firstly, welcome to Pixar Planet, openteng! You write English very well and I can understand most of what you write. If you want me to use simple English so you can understand what I write better, just let me know.
Thank you for those Pixar in-joke submissions! You have a talent for spotting recurring objects in the background - I never noticed those before. I will add them to the list the next time I update, and your name will be added to bottom of the list as a contributor. =)
About the Pizza Planet truck picture you posted… I have seen that picture before, and personally, I don’t think that is the Pizza Planet truck because that truck/car is yellow and doesn’t have any red on the top, but the PP truck does. If you would like to post that picture in the Pizza Planet Truck in The Incredibles thread, you can talk about it there and see if other people agree with you or not.
Yeah, I’ve watched Monsters, Inc. a couple of times to see if the names of the scarers are actually on the board and haven’t seen it yet, either. But I’ll keep looking.
Wow, you’ve got good eyesight, openteng! Good spotting there! And welcome to the boards.
Oh my god haha when I watch the films I don’t normally look out for these things, I will start to from now on though!!! It is like a new meaning of life
Thanks a lot guys~!
Waht an honor to be added to the list as a contributor!!!
Looking forward to update, especially topics about WALL-E!!
I have the pictures of [spoil]Pizza Planet truck,Rex,A113,John(and so on)[/spoil]now~~can’t wait sharing them,hehe ^^
Always pay close attention to details~
openteng- I hadn’t noticed the Chinese food in-joke. Great eye!
When do you think you’ll post the WALL-E pics, I’m especially excited to see Rex.
Tell the truth,I don’t know if I was allowed to post the WALL-E ester egg pictures here now…
But if you really want to see REX,click the URL bellow

Saw that?He’s [spoil]between the bowling pins[/spoil].
Gasp! Rex is very well hidden. Thank openteng!
I knew I saw him there. Great find openteng.
This might be a little too early for any of you to know, but last Saturday when I saw some clips of Up, I could have sworn I saw Helen Parr, or a look-alike of her in the crowd in the city when they looked up to the sky as the house floated by.
Me and my friend looked at each other and were like, “Elastigirl?” She wasn’t too vague in a crowd either, it clearly showed this woman front of the screen as she looked up to the sky.
I don’t know, the woman was wearing pretty tight red clothes, and she had the same haircut as Helen Parr, and I think it briefly looked like her face profile when it was shown.
Soooo, Helen Parr in Up? It sure looked like her to me, but I would have to see it again to be sure, and need others to see it too.
Just my speculation, and it can be added to the unconfirmed Pixar in-jokes.
Also, Pete Docter confirmed that yes, there was something hidden in Ratatouille that will be in Up. So I immediately thought of that dog.
So yes, that should confirm the dog in-joke rumor.
Now that I think of it… I should have asked Pete Docter if it was Helen Parr or not when I had the chance, and see if he would’ve answered. I hate how I always think of these things way after I had a chance…
I’ve got a new in-joke that I haven’t heard of outside of the Blu-Ray commentary!
From Ratatouille: The pencil in the rat band is the Insuricare pencil from The Incredibles.
martini: Really? Haven’t noticed that! Good eyes
I think I was the first one to believe that the Truck was there, about two years ago (you could probably find that in the archives). But then people on these boards convinced me I was wrong, and now I don’t think the Truck is even in The Incredibles at all.
There’s an in-joke I’d like to report : in Finding Nemo, a boat named Jerome’s Raft, an obvious nod to Jerome Ranft, sculptor at Pixar and brother of the late Joe Ranft, can be seen in Sydney’s harbour : link.
Also, about that :
I don’t think that’s an in-joke. All I can see there is the dentist olding a giant golden tooth.
New Pixar In-Jokes:
Cars
Scene: California Race
What is that on the left? Is it… a satellite image of Pixar?
Ratatouille
Scene: Homecoming
Golly, Insuricare is in Ratatouille, too-ey?!
I believe that it was a satelite pic of Pixar, but where is the Insuricare reference located?
It’s on the pencil…I think we need that pic to be zoomed in to see it clearly.
Archibald - Thanks for the “Jerome’s Raft” reference. I know it’s the dentist holding a giant tooth, but I heard (or read) somewhere that the dentist’s pose and smile is based on a Pixarian who won an Academy Award, or some similar-looking award for their work on a previous Pixar film.
Martin - Nice going, Martin! I really need to get updating this list soon with these awesome in-jokes.
Here’s a comparison of the satellite image of the Pixar studios, and an image from Google Earth. That is so rad!
