So is this coming out before or after Monsters University?
Also, I think that I came up with a title for this: “The Return Of Rex”
Or, what about “Roar!”

Those are cool names for the Film. We don’t know when it is coming out at the moment, but I think it is after M.U.
Yes, whenever it’s released, it’s after MU. That for sure.
“Roar” could work. Not sure about “The Return of Rex.” the dinosaurs never died so they don’t “return”. I could see the title worcking if this was like [i]Jurassic Park[/i.
Exactly. The plot appears to be about the dinosaurs NEVER getting extincted.
How about “Archaeologist”?
I doubt it. Even if the plot had something to do with that, the people who study dinosaurs are paleontologist, not archaeologists.
Opps, my had, I get’s thing’s like that messed up.
The film has now a title, apparently: The Good Dinosaur.
I don’t like it. It needs changing, a lot more than Brave did.
Looks like this will be coming out in 2014, while Pete Docter’s project gets moved to June 19th, 2015.
I like it. A lot. The name that can put tons of kids on the theatre seats!
Well, that’s partly it. It sounds somewhat infantile to me.
Which is the whole point, I think. Right from the word go, this movie seems to be even more geared towards younger audience, relatively speaking, compared to other Pixar features. As it says on the synopsis, “hilarious and heart-felt story”. Might as well give it a cute name that all the 5-year-old boys would keep on top of their tongues for months.
Don’t know.
I’m not one for naming films for marketing reasons (maybe this one wasn’t, I’m just taking on this theory)
After all, everybody knows Ratatouille’s name now. It was a daring move, but the imaginative title worked and imposed over a potentially more simplistic and unoriginal one.
I agree it’s too kiddy for my taste. Even if the title is accurate and there is, indeed, a good dinosaur at the heart of the film, it sounds like a toddler picture book.
It sounds kinda childish to me. It kinda sounds like something they would play on Toonhouse Disney.
I think they should change it or the name will hurt the adult audience.
I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. Pixar is at a point now where people will go to their movies simply because it’s a Pixar movie. And the title probably makes perfect sense in context.
I can guranteed that Pixar will come up with a one-word title.
One word titles for this movie: Dino. Bone. Fossil. Chomp.
I wonder if certain dinosaurs will have feathers or not. Hmm…
As I anticipated, the title is having a very adverse reaction around the web.
They really NEED to change it.
About having changing it to just one word or not, what’s the guarantee? Granted, it happen with Brave (and with Tangled in Disney’s case), but I don’t think every title change from now on will be one-worded.
