I can already envision the really epic opening sequence this film should have.
Yeah, I really hope it will be epic.
I also imagin the opening.
I still think that this movie will be pushed back to 2014. We’ve been hearing since 2008 that Pixar would have two films and one year and it hasn’t happened.
You never know.
It may, but then it also may not.
I guess it does make sense to give it a 2013 release. We’ll have to wait and see how the first trailer or something to see if it looks good or not.
I agree.
Yeah, it’s too early in the game to see if this will be good or not. For one, I’m glad Bob Petersen is directing.
I wonder if the dinosaurs later betray humans or if it’s the other way around.
I would like that the Humans betray the Dinosaurs and then the Dinosaurs get revenge. That would seem realistic to me.
We’ve had enough “Humans Are Bastards” movies and racism allegories. I’d like to see a film where the species interact on a diplomatic basis. Though I will say I can’t see how this can be written with the humans being the dominant species. They’d be some 300 million years younger than the intelligent, evolved dinosaurs.
And I also hope the movie isn’t overloaded with self-aware jokes. I want the characters to be completely used to interacting with the other species and not be able to accurately (or inaccurately in an ironically specific way) imagine the world without them.
I agree with that.
Yeah, I hope that the movie’s universe makes sense and that the dialogue doesn’t lead to dozens of plot holes. I don’t like it in movies where the writers add jokes that take away from the realism of the film. It’s a bit distracting.
I agree.
Can’t wait to they put some art out.
Me too.
I wonder how the people in the film will look? Extremely stylised like Up or The Incredibles? Just a bit exagerated like in Ratatouille? Or maybe more in line with Toy Story/ Monster’s Inc.? If I remember correctly, that image of the boy with the dinosaur looked less exaggerated than say, Up, although the designs could change.
Also, I wonder how cartoonish/ realistic looking the dinosaurs will be?
I think that because Disney’s Dinosaur looked very realistic, at least for it’s time, Pixar will probably go for a more cartoonish style to avoid connecting the two films. But I could be wrong
.
I don’t know. Disney’s version looked more like live-action to me and we know that Pixar usually does films in CG. I’ve only see one hand drawn from them and it was The Adventures of Andre and Wally from 1984.
