Andre and Wally B. was not hand drawn. Night and Day on the other hand was 50% hand drawn.
Hmm, it must of been concept art then since I seen early concept art of that film. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it so I didn’t remember.
I wonder that too.
Actually, I read somewhere that when they showed Andre and Wally B at SIGGRAPH in the 80s for the first time, they hadn’t quite finished rendering it, so JL added about 5 seconds worth of hand drawings, so technically in it’s original for it was partially 2D ![]()
I meant cartoony like, stylised. I don’t know how to explain it.
I get what you mean.
It would be interesting to see what Pixar could do with a story about dinosaurs. They can usually be a very good concept in films, those mostly being animated.
I agree.
I think this film could have alot of potential and I hope it lives up to the wildest of expectations.
I fully agree.
I think the only film that comes to mind for me that had alot of expections but failed was the Super Mario Bros movie from 1993. Like Critic said in his review, people were hyped and their expectations were high after seeing the trailers. Then by seeing the opening sequence, everyone knew that the film would be horrible.
I haven’t seen it.
That more is terrible.
I quite liked Mario tbh, in a strange way ![]()
I think that goes to show that you can’t get your expectations too high because of a trailer.
That is definitely true.
That’s because they put alot of the good parts in trailers.
Agreed. Film trailers these days reveal most of the good parts and they just ruin the movie. I like Pixar’s teasers because they don’t really reveal much of the story.
I hate it when some put the end of the movie in the trailer.
Well, generally they put the best and most dramatic moments in the trailer. By dramatic I mean like the Main Character is in peril or is trying to save someone who is in peril.
I think the revelance of major things in film are just as bad as the comedic pause in trailers.
