@Dash - in reply to your comment on Upcoming Pixar, Leslie Iwerks is the granddaughter of Ub Iwerks and recently did the Pixar 20 Years Special on TV. Not sure on who Karen Peik is though.

pointed out to me that Karen Peik has worked in development on Ratatouille and also did the Art of Ratatouille

book.

I will be preordering this book and getting it as soon as it becomes available. It looks to me

that this book will be filled with tidbits on Pixar, the story, history, and art of the most Incredible team of

people in the world. Coming from Chronicle books, it also looks like it’s a very, very thick coffee table book

with bright pictures and pages that smell nice.

I can’t wait.

Aww man the release date was put back to November 1st instead of october 25.

I just sent my preorder on Amazon.com! $44.89 with the “preorder discount.” Gosh Pixar, stop releasing all these cool items in close proximity to each other! I may not buy the cute plush toys of Remy the Rat, but I buy all of the DVDs and books! Ratatouille DVD, Short Films collection, and the Story of Pixar book…plus the Cars Blu-Ray which I will get as soon as Blu-Ray becomes popular enough. I love Pixar.

martini833 - We appreciate any pictures you post of the book in question, but please keep in mind that it would be inadviseable for you to submit photographs of the inside of the book for legal and copyright reasons. Pictures of the front and back of it are accepteable, but you probably shouldn’t go any further than that…
