Ok - no one spoil anything cause I don’t have my copy yet - there’s been a glitch and haven’t gotten mine yet. I should have it soon though - hopefully…
What a crap way to start my birthday this morning. =(

Well, Australia (especially my lousy city) seems to be a bit slack in having Pixar books in stock, so I feel your pain.
Ya, I’ll just take random amazon-like pics, no spoilers [is there any] and of course the cover. I didnt mean a scan of all 320 pages ;]
Sorry, martini, but scans of published material are not allowed.
~~=oP
Alrighty, PV.
But don’t be sorry, I’m not the one missing out.
I just got a notice from Amazon.com saying that the book is delayed and will arrive as late as December 1st. This stinks
.
I read on the DeepDiscount website, that’s it was pushed back to 12/30/07. :\ This thing better be worth it for the 56-75 buck price.
First off, the book was un-delayed by Amazon. instead of December 1st, its November 26th.
Second, here’s and extremely positive review of the book and the documentary: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/pixar-1107.html
Okay so now I’ve heard about five different release dates. Which one am I supposed to believe?
I’ve had my copy via Amazon for 2 and a half weeks. It’s a fine book, with a hideous cover.
Really, how Amazon delayed mine for about a month. Anywyas can you take a pic of the “hideous” cover?
The book cover is on the Amazon site. It’s cheap looking and it’s going to deteriorate fast. How sad. I sure hope Pixar had nothing to do with that.
I got it today, and it’s AWESOME. It’s full of anything and everything you’d want to know about Pixar.
P.S. The cover isn’t half-bad.
So it’s out ay? Cool. because I too heard it was getting delayed till after Christmas…
If anyone wants to know more heres my review on the book:
The cover is made of canvas with a sticker of Buzz Lightyear on the front and back. The book is big with 300 pages, about the size of a text book. The book itself is sturdy but, the canvas itself is fragile. The insides layout isnt stricking but clean, with lots of stills, production art and worth-while text. The text takes up about half of each page and is full of information you may not know. The book also contains spreads of all kinds and pictures not found in The Art of Books. Don’t worry, most of the pictures are the common production photos but the text makes up for that. The book starts with a foreword, then chapters about Ed Catmull, John Lasseter, and Steve Jobs. After that there’s a chapter about Early Pixar History then it goes on with every movie through Cars, There are also spots between chapters on Pixar University, The Shorts, Sound and the like. It’s really a great book and I can see why its worth $75!
Cool. I can’t wait to order this now. How honest is the recount of the whole thing between Pixar and Disney (like when Disney wanted to make Toy Story 3)?
Well, I haven’t read all of it BUT I did skim through that section and they say stuff like Dinsey was just too much, they HAD to leave them, so it sounds honest to me.
Good. I was hoping that the book wouldn’t be censored in account of Disney’s buying out of Pixar, and all. ![]()
