No, they’ve been cancelled. Personally, as glad I was that the movie was still relevant, the comicsd were wrote for children, and you could tell.
Well, Leirin, if you go to a comic shop, you MIGHT be able to find an issue or two. But I would advise you to save your money. Like I said, there are a few interesting parts, but overall the series is too out-of-canon from the movie.
I agree. It seems too gimmicky, like they’re trying to be cool for kids.
I just thought of something that, while sad, is also funny:
When Bob is criticizing the teams work at the beginning of the first book (to cover up his loss of powers) he tells Helen she has gotten just as bad (at following orders) as the kids. When I read that I first thought, "What a jerk" but then I started thinking, "Hello, this is the Doghouse confirming a reservation for Mr. Bob Parr. So far we have 2 nights on the couch and 4 meals of "Fix-it yourself" in a can." I mean, I know he was scared of his family finding out he lost his powers, but criticizing his WIFE? I’m sure if they had continued the series, this incident (as well as the other noticeable incidents when he was a jerk) would have been explained as him being nervous about his kids risking their lives being supers. Actually, in the last issue, Bob DID admit he felt guilty that Syndrome killed so many of his friends because of him, so he could also be worried about Helen and the kids dealing with a villain like him on their own and losing. In fact, in the third issue he said the kids NEED to be supers when Helen was considering making them stop, but this could be that he’s so insecure that he HAS to be right, even if it means lying about what he believes.
So yeah, even though Bob was a jerk throughout the series, I’m sure BOOM would have fixed the family issues after the Unforgivables were defeated. But seriously, criticizing your WIFE? Not smart, dude. Not smart at all
Hey, another good, funny moment from the comic series:
In Ratatouille, I don’t remember what scene, but Bomb Voyage appears as a mime in a cameo (hey, if he wasn’t captured before the super ban, he had to do something to make a living for 15 years). And in “Secrets and Lies”, when Helen and Mirage confront him in Paris…he’s still a mime! A funny little Easter egg
Was the comic book concluded or is still stoped in the number 15 edition. How the story ends?
Ohmygosh! I only have one Incredibles comic so far. I’ve had it for just a couple of months over a year now. And now that I see this thread, I gotta get over on eBay soon as I can and get more! Hopefully I’ll have a compkete set in no time!
