[spoil]I couldn’t
believe Barbossa’s entrance, either! ‘Slack-jawed’ is probably the most fitting description for my reaction
to the ending. I think the implication is that Tia Dalma brought him back to life; when Jack brings her the
monkey, he runs into another room. You can see someone lying down, but all you can see are their boots. Then, a
few minutes later, Jack picks up Barbossa’s hat and examines it – so he’s definitely been there for a while,
at least![/spoil]
I don’t know about the running jokes, still. Some of them, I did laugh at.
The eunuch line had me in stitches, but some of them just seemed too forced, I suppose.
The three-way
fight was amazing. (And I did love Jack’s ‘I’m still rooting for you, mate’ line.
) That must have
taken forever to co-ordinate. I remember reading somewhere, that out of the three actors, Orlando Bloom (Will)
was the best swordsman. (Obviously he had all that training for the Lord of the
Rings films already.) The second best was Jack Davenport (Norrington), and the absolute worst was
Johnny Depp (Jack), who apparently just kept stabbing out and hitting and had no grace whatsoever – but the
directors decided since he was a pirate, it made sense for him to fight that way, anyway! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and
