The Inevitable Pirates of the Caribbean 2 thread ;)

I’m not a huge Will fan (I personally don’t think

Orlando Bloom’s a very good actor), but I can definitely see some ambiguity in his

character.

[spoil]At the end, I got the feeling he was more upset about loosing the Pearl than

loosing Jack. (And, really, no wonder.) I have the distinct impression that it’s the ship he’s going for, and

if he happens to meet Jack, things aren’t exactly going to be rosy between them…

XD[/spoil]

The writers, I think, said that if Johnny Depp was willing to stay on and continue

to do the character, they’d keep on writing the films – and they hoped he would because they love writing for

Pirates! XD

Yeah I think that’s what the writers said! I haven’t seen any other movies

Orlando Bloom is in (besides LotR… but he doesn’t like talk in that one) so currently I’m guessing his acting

skill is not really skill… but the character he is playing. Will is just so high strung about being a good guy

and doing what’s right and being uptight that I think that seems like he isnt a great actor.

That said, I

don’t really like Turner or Bloom so feel free to contradict that.

As much, as

Will Turner is NOT my favorite character (as opposed to Norrington or Sparrow), I still like the guy alot . . .

and I’m still rooting he’ll get Elizabeth in the end.

Mind you, Will has some potential for some

“grayness,” in the point that he’s ever more becoming a pirate, which he supposedly hates . . . and

he’s doing it to sae his father, who IS a pirate.

There’s great irony at works here . . . it’s been set

up now . . . hopefully 3 will actually DEAL with it!!

That scene in PotC: CotBP, where Will’s bandaging

Elizabeth’s wounds and he comes to realize he has the blood of a pirate was really good in fact, and it sets it

up for some great personal struggle for him!

Lol. That’s like in Harry Potter book 5 where Harry

learns Voldemort is possessing him 8D

So

it’s confirmed, the third film will be called At World’s End  Yay!

I’m not trying to steal your thunder, but Comingsoon.net says there is no apostrophe; that it is called

"At Worlds

End."

However, I went to the

forums that Comingsoon.net linked to that has Terry Rossio’s announcement, and he does acknowledge that the

apostrophe issue wasn’t fully concluded, and says that it might probably end up in there by the time the artwork

comes out…

I read somewhere (I’ve forgotten where now, guh, I think it was just another forum though)

that it was confirmed with apostrophe! Controversy! If “Worlds” is plural it makes it all the more

interesting, though!

The DVD comes out on December 5

disneyvideos.disney.go.com/movie … 98903.html

I can’t wait!! Hopefully

Pirates will come to the dollar theater soon though. I live like 5 minutes away from a theater that plays movies

for a second round. Heheh

Just saw the Cover Art at

Ultimate Disney.com Looks amazing.

And it’s obvious which set I’m getting: 2-Disc Widescreen!!

I’m not sure If I want

to get it.
