Hello there, everyone!!
Well, I waited long enough. I “reintroduced” myself to my fellow moderators a couple of weeks ago already, but it’s high time that I duplicated the gesture to everyone in turn. I only apologize that I neglected to do so sooner. In my defense, I had some life issues that needed to be sorted out a week or two ago prior to this message, hence my absence. However, I should be back on the boards significantly more frequently now, patrolling the forums and answering messages as needed. Additionally, the Pixar Planet Trading Post will be up-and-running again soon – within the next few days, if possible.
Many things happened between the time I left the boards and up until this moment, so for those of you who are interested in the many “adventures” my family and I endured during that time, feel free to read up on them in one of my more recent deviantArt journal entries here:

I’m still active on deviantArt, and have been extremely active onTwitter for the past several months now, so, although I have returned to the boards for a good long while, the best way to contact me in case of an emergency would be via the Twitter system. To conclude, I’m going to announce to all that I will be here to stay on Pixar Planet for a very long time. I know I’ve gone on many a personal “vacation” before, but this time I shall remain on the boards for a considerable amount of time – a good solid year, at least. As I’ve always said, I may disappear from time to time, but I will never truly leave this place, even when I make it to Pixar.
Again, my sincere apologies for the long delay. It’s good to see you all again!

Hey. Long-time Pixar fan, here - though I’m a tad inconsistent on the social scene. But after seeing the double feature of both Toy Stories, I figured it’d be nice to see what the fandom and community was like - plus I’d forgotten how amazing both those movies were.
So, hello! I’m nett1k, your local lurker - trying to break that habit, but hey. You all look like a very friendly bunch - quite different from a lot of forums I’ve seen. So, I’m looking forward to chatting with you guys.

And welcome to the boards, nett1k! I’m sure you’ll feel very welcome here as, as you said, it’s surprisingly friendly at Pixar Planet. It’s also nice to hear of someone’s love of Pixar being revived by the Toy Story re-releases.
Mitch - What’s cookin’? (Hardy har, funny pun) It’s great you’re back, you’ve been making good progress on DeviantArt (which is far from what I can say for myself), but it’s nice that you’re returning for a long time here.

Hi there! My name is Sarah, and I’m new here, despite the fact that I registered in August. Senior year got in my way and I never got a chance to make it over here. But I’m now a second semester senior! (Well, almost, one midterm left) and I should have plenty of time to geek out over Pixar.
About me:
My name is Sarah, and I’m a high school senior. Next year, I’m hoping to major in computer science, and focus in graphics, and eventually make my way to Pixar! I have a twin sister who isn’t a member, but I love her dearly, and she deserves a mention. I play violin, and I sing at school, and I play violin and mandolin in my local Klezmer band. Klezmer is Eastern European Jewish wedding music, and it’s really cool. I’m a co-president of my school’s science olympiad team.I love reading, chocolate, macaroni and cheese, and when I’m not talking about Pixar, I’m probably talking about Harry Potter.
My Pixar story:
Of course, I’ve grown up with Pixar. Toy Story came out when I was 3 years old, and I loved it. (I’m really excited to see Andy go off to college now, right when I leave for college too! ) I got really interested in Pixar about two years ago now, when I took a summer flash course and helped out at a camp for girls who are good at science but don’t have any female role models in it. During the week there was a workshop to teach the girls how video games worked, and while I watched the presentation, I was mesmerized by how cool the graphics were, and I decided that I wanted to see and learn more. I turned to the family’s collection of Pixar DVD’s, watched the bonus features, and decided that I am going to work at Pixar. Since then, I’ve watched the movies more and more, gotten all the soundtracks, and amassed a not so small collection of Pixar stuff.
Anyway, I’m really looking forward to sharing my obsession enthusiasm with all of you.

Oh, Pixar is technically amazing. It’s great to see a fan that has grown up with Pixar but hasn’t discovered it until recently to a few years ago, just like me!
Well, mazel tov for introducing yourself (I hope I used that correctly!, I chucked it in there since you play Klezmer music) and, again, welcome!
Welcome to the boards, Sarah! That’s awesome that you have a twin sister. And, as Phileas said, it’s interesting to find another memer whose interest in Pixar is more recent.
Hi Phileas and lizardgirl! I feel really welcomed. 
Your mazel tov is correct, as far as I know. I went to religious school for 9 years, but I never managed to much of the hebrew they taught!
I’m really glad that I have managed to discover Pixar’s awesomeness right when I did, because it’s helped me shape my plans for the next few years. Without Pixar, I’d have NO idea what I want to major in, or what I want to do. It’s saved me lots of stress. Pixar’s biggest attraction for me isn’t the movies, or the technology, even though both of those are awesome. I like the way they make people happy the best. I swear that every time I see a fish tank it is accompanied by a small child looking for Nemo, or Dory, and my little cousin is obsessed with Cars. I really want to work in a place that makes people so happy through such amazing films.

Jesus, how long was I gone for? 
I’ve not been on for a while because I’ve recently had so much school work to do, that I wasn’t able to do much, including visiting the forums everyday. All of that work was stressful for me, but, now that it is finally over, I have a new semester to look foward to at school, and, I’ll be able to visit the forums much more often, too! I hope I can catch up on what’s been going on in the forums, too.
For those newcomers (like Poet, nett1k & Sarah) that have appeared during my absence, I have to say welcome to the Pixar Planet forums, I hope that you all have a fantastic time on here and I hope to meet some of you soon!
