Hey everyone! My name is Rayhawk and I’m glad to be a part of the Pixar Planet Forums family! I’ve been lurking around the forums for quite some time and I finally figured that I should join to contribute my ideas and opinions.
I really have no idea what I would do without Pixar in my life. The first movie I ever saw in theaters was Toy Story when I was only a year old. That was the moment I fell in love. Everything I owned including pajamas, school folders, toys, and clothes began to reflect my love for Pixar. I loved the stories that Pixar was able to tell and how captivating every single movie they made was.
Well, now I’m going into my junior year in high school. Things have changed quite a lot. Friends, school, and life in general. However, Pixar has always been with me and I never let it go. Whether it was bringing a group of friends to see WALL-E on opening day or seeing Up 11 times in theaters, Pixar and its movies have been my passion. Like others I’m sure, I have been ridiculed and called a two year old and such, but I am very lucky to live somewhere where people also understand the genius of Pixar. Also, I find it amazing that the first movie I ever saw, Toy Story, is still my favorite movie of all time. Believe me, I’ve seen A LOT of movies. And I’m still the biggest ( ) Toy Story fan. I’ve never been more excited for a movie as I am for Toy Story 3.
So I’d just like to say thanks to all of you and I can’t wait to become active and helpful around here!
I can see Pixar has made a lasting impression on your life Rayhawk. You have come to the right plac.e YOu will love it here. I love your username. And welcome to Pixar Planet.
A big welcome to Ding, Rayhawk, and x3haijessiex3! (A bit late on the latter ) And welcome back, Buzz&Woodyforever.
To x3haijessiex3, BPFA and Rayhawk, I too have been teased quite a bit about my Pixar fandom. I try to generally keep it on the low in school and such, but I get mocked by my sister a lot at home. Whenever she comes into my room, she yells “Ew!” at all of my Up merchandise, which doesn’t even make sense, and once she saw the Pixar soundtracks on my iPod and she won’t let me live it down. My mom used to be a little critical about me buying toys, but she has gotten over it. I can’t even imagine what would happen if the kids at my school found out about my nerdiness…I would probably have to take on a new identity. Like you guys said, I wish people could just be more accepting of unique people.
I hear you out Bryko614. I’ve been buying the Toy Story 3 buddy packs and also the Lego sets and at first my mom thought it was a little odd. However, now that I’ve opened them, built the Lego sets, and displayed the figures, she actually really likes them and now she’s been picking some up for me!
Same with my mother, Rayhawk. I think Pixar makes the cool sets and stuff that you display for us big kids who like their movies My Cars one is quite impressive but not huge like other Toy Collectors. The pictured on my walls however are impressive one might say I have never seen my walls in years I love adding to my stuff though. It’s fun. Even though none of my non virtual friends care about it
Awesome x3haijessiex3! I collect Cars toys too! Likewise, my collection is not huge, but I love it a lot. I also treasure my collection of McDonald’s 1999 Toy Story 2 toys of which I have every one. The one thing I want most though is a Toy Story 3 full size movie poster (the main one) to put on the front of my door and even move to my dorm when I go to college.
