A hearty welcome to all of the new members here on Pixar Planet!
Rachel - Welcome back! I hope that you’re feeling better. It’s funny; as soon as one member is absent from Pixar Planet it’s really noticeable. Things aren’t the same.
lizardgirl – Thanks. I’m already having a great time! Would you believe that a lizard is my favorite animal.
Fairly Odd New Yorker – Thank you. It’s nice to feel welcome.
Killer123 – Yes, I have visited Pixar Planet a lot in the past, and even more now that I’ve joined.
The Star Swordsman – Yeah, I do think we have a lot in common.
Masterweaver – Thanks, that means a lot to me. It’s great to be encouraged by someone who’s been on the site for a while. And by the way, what the heck does the word “schizo” mean?!
rachelcakes1985 – Thanks Rachel! And thanks for the signature. It finally worked! Me and my dad were going nuts trying to figure out how to put it on, and it turns out, all we had left to do was hit the “activate” button. Boy, was that a kick in the pants. And I hope you feel better. I had a T/A when I was 5 or 6. It is very unpleasant. But the good part is you get to eat all the ice cream you want and no one can say anything!
To everyone, thanks! And no, Rachel did NOT bribe me to say I liked her graphics. I said it, because it’s true. And you don’t need to write “him/her” any more. I’m a girl, as my screen name implies.
Mitch - Yeah, when one of the regular members stop posting for whatever reason, something feels amiss…
violet parr - You’re welcome. Yep, you gotta hit that ‘activate’ button in order to submit new information to your profile. But it’s all trial and error, really. Well, I try not to presume a member is male or female. Case in point: Mitch. I used to think she was a he for a good few weeks. Heheh. But I will refer to you as ‘she’ then.
Ok… So Here goes… I’m not very good at these here things.
Hi… I’m Captain Pan
I happened to come across this forum quite by accident in a search on to how to obtain John Lasseter Hawaiian Shirt styled material to build a Waistcoat as I prepare for my first teaching practice in a few months time (currently still trying to work on that problem).
I’m a student teacher, who has a vast passion for all things Disney, with a priority focused on the Works of The Pixar Studios. I in my spare time like to draw in between hours of University Assignments and training in Martial Arts, and watching way too many Animated movies for my friends liking.
I am a fan mainly of the Toy Stories, with Woody forming a firm favourite for the best character, although perhaps not the best vocal talent, there I would have to share the position with John Ratzenberger, Joe Ranft and Tim Allen.
I currently have possession of all 9 pieces of cinematic genius that have left the studios and hold 5 of the 9 Soundtracks. Which I’m guessing isn’t much to boast about around here… Although I do have The Latest 3 releases on Blu Ray… Again not much to boast about around here.
Looking Forward to what has already been Green Lit by Lasseter, Disneyland Resport Paris’ expansion and addition of Toy Story Play Land in the Studios Toon Studio looks to be a great expansion and with opening rumoured at Summer 2010 new fans to the Toy Story Franchise will have both the release of Toy Story 3 and these attractions to look forward to. and I know I am looking forward with great anticiparion
Welcome to the boards, Captain Pan! You certainly seem like an enthusiastic Pixar fan, so I’m sure you’ll fit in very well around here. And if you ever do manage to make that John Lasseter waistcoat, I insist that you post a photo and show us it.
The Matter of the waistcoat is something which I am actually planning to write to John Lasseter himself about. But Saying that I think maybe the membership here could give me a helping hand in what my task is… Creating a Waitcoat and Tie in the form of a Lasseter esque Hawaiian Shirt like that seen in photos of him at Pixar and Burbank Studios for Disney… But I am needing to find ways of obtaining said materials… but thats for another topic and another time.
Hello, Captain Pan! Wow, you seem to know a lot about John Lasseter! Welcome to the forums! I’ve only been with this site for a short while, but from the time I’ve spent here, I can tell you that, more than likely, you’ll have a great time here! And I really liked Tim Allen, too! I almost forgot about him, thanks Captain Pan!!
bright dot-dasher - Aww, thank you! My heart just melted a bit.
Hello Captain Pan! You sound like a big Pixar fan to me. To own all of the films and most of the soundtracks is something to boast about around here, why not? Welcome to the forums!
I introduced myself over in the “Up” forum, but thought I’d make it all official.
Great to be here to talk Pixar, the greatest movie studio currently making movies!
This seems to be the best Pixar forum on the net, and I’m glad to have found it.
