You know, the vault doesn’t really exist. You can get the DVDs anyway. I do all the time.
You mean that thing that once it’s “closed”, you can’t get it again?
Yes. It doesn’t really exist. You can still get them any time, they only say that so people will run out and buy them. I see “locked” Disney and Pixar films at Target every day.
Isn’t that kinda a more stupid idea. They could get more money if everyone knew it would be here. So they get a lot of money for a few weeks and it drops like a rock. Big whoop.
I usually get mine when they’re not “in season” so to speak because they’re cheaper at other times.
Same. Or my mom buys it for me.
Yeah, I got all Nostalgic when I first saw it! The Lion King movies were such a huge part of my childhood!
I actually haven’t seen the 2nd one in forever, and I’ve ever seen 1 and a half.
1 1/2 isn’t a fantastic movie by any means, but it has a couple great songs.
I keep meaning to record it. I actually do try to watch the DTVs so I can attack them intelligently, or so if one is okay, then I know. It’s just it’s always half over when I catch it.
I actually liked 1 1/2 more than 2.
I think I remember 2 being corny.
Same. Here. As Virginia said, it’s corny. So is 1 1/2, but 1 1/2 doesn’t take itself seriously like 2 does. So it makes the corniess more expceptable. Plus Kira bothered me.
I do like how all three movies have a Shaespeare play premise.
I didn’t know they were all Shakesperian. I mean, obviously the first one is(It’s pretty much copy-paste of Hamlet, with some Kimba the White Lion and a happy ending) but I think it’s cool that they all are.
I hated and still hate Zira so much, wasn’t anywhere near as good a villain as Scar.
I barely remember her.
She’s okay, just not as grand or memorable as Scar.
I like 2, personally. But it won’t ever come close to the first.
i didn’t know that, because I’ve never watched the sequels. But it’s interesting.
Yep! The first is obviously Hamlet. The second is Romeo and Juliet.
And 1 1/2 isn’t based on a paticular Shaekspeare. But the idea of two side characters getting their own version of the original tale is based on Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, which of course is about the two side characters of Hamlet.
That makes a lot of sense.
