The most under-appreciated Pixar film

Besides this thread isn’t about the most hated Pixar film! Under appreciated Cars may be, sure why not, maybe it really deserves more affection and praise that it gets. But is it thee most under appreciated Pixar film above all others? Definitely not.

Whoa, I haven’t got that impression from anyone. And since when has it been ‘snooty-like’ to express ones opinions?

And as for the problem with humans today ‘critiquing’ things. It’s always been like that. That’s what man kind have been doing since the ability to write. From Kings, to Founding Fathers, to ‘common’ folk. That’s just what people do. It has nothing to do with being born in this generation.

I hope you’re not offended by what I say XCarsluverx, after all, I agree with you that Cars is underrated. But I do not see posters of opposite opinions being snootty, just because they have different ideas than you and I. I just want to throw that out there. It’s all friendly debate, or at least that’s the original intention.

No,I was just saying something because of what another poster said, but I see what your’e saying too…

(maybe this thread was another bad idea of mine) o_0

Why would you say that DDDDDDD: We are having a wonderful conversation! I for one am enjoying it! It was a great idea

Well, I started another majoir argument. :open_mouth:

No it didn’t :open_mouth:

No worries. It started a good discussion.

I do agree that Bugs Life is pretty much ignored, but I went with Cars. Mainly because I never got what people didnt see in that movie that was apparently in all the ones before it. I didnt understand the mediocre/lukewarm reviews it got. Now, I’m going with the impressions I got then at that time, not with how its viewed/being treated now.

I agree that during it’s release it (Cars) probably did get the worst reviews and weakest welcoming. That’s just my opinion from how I remember feeling at the time, I’d have to actually go back and look to see if I’m right.

That’s a good point, lennonluvr9. I can see your point. I personally believe both movies got trashed. I love both, and neither were or are appropriately appreciated.

Now, I feel this way for other Pixar films, but I’m not in an argument-starting mood, so I won’t go there. :frowning:

Some of us are mature enough to handle your opinions Virginia. I for one would love to hear what you have to say, I’m sad you’re only teasing us instead D:

What argument?Nobody’s in a argument…

I said Cars. Why do people hate it. It is halfway based on a true story. Route 66 towns did suffer going out of busness. Cars is a great movie.

I’d have to go with Cars. While ABL is mostly forgotten due to passage of time and for being the ‘second-born child’, it is still looked back on with fond memories by most who have seen it. Whereas with Cars, there is more criticism (constructive or otherwise) and stronger sentiments against it than with Pixar’s other films. I’m not so much perturbed with lukewarm or unfavourable reviews as more brazen ‘hating’ comments which I’ve seen elsewhere, and Cars has riled the most people who have seen it. Which is a pity, because I think it is the most ‘sentimental’ film next to Toy Story in its themes, and it really deserves more praise than it’s getting.

Most under-rated? Cars. Most under-appreciated? A Bugs Life. Most undeserved hating? Wall-E. Enough said.

I think I might agree with these views about 80%.

Hmm… good point.

Yeah, I agree with that. If you dislike something, that’s no reason to upset people or overreact over.

It’s either A bugs life or Cars. Both of them are brilliant films and in my opinion not Pixar’s worst film. Cars just seems to be disliked by people for some reason- I really don’t know why and A Bugs life just seems ignored.

I agree with you, LovePixar. I don’t think any of them are bad, I just think some people have unrealistic expectations. It’s a movie about talking cars!!! Quit expecting some kind of philosophical masterpeice. :unamused:
