Two full scenes from the movie have just been released:
Heh, the first one I thought was pretty funny! The second one I thought was good until the firefly got there, but I really liked the alligator!
Who knows? Maybe I’ll see this.
I watched the first one because most of it was already revealed in the trailer.
Hoho, Prince Naveen is such a playa, no women can resist his earthly charms! Except Tiana, of course.
I like how he [spoil]instantly opens the book to the exact page of the ‘frog-kissing’ scene.[/spoil]
“Come, we pucker!”
I’m sure the second’s good too, but I must resist… I’m going in trying not to watch as much as possible! Thanks for the update, Rare Addict!
I can’t resist Prince Naveen’s charms either! That accent might have something to do with it… I already love the personalities of all the characters in the movie. Love when he says “He was very charismatic!” Just that delivery, lol.
I want to see this movie! I’m happy to see 2-D rise once again!
I’ll just buy it when it releases.
The Facebook page just posted an update: New Yorkers get to be the first in the world to catch the film at the Ziegfeld Theatre! There’s also an exhibition where you get to meet and greet the Disney princesses and have a look at the props and concept art used in the movie!
Here’s the promotional announcement (with a couple of new clips! ):

And here’s the Facebook page. You can become a fan, and tickets can be booked by the Exclusives tab.
Personally, I’d rather they hold the premiere in the city that inspired it; New Orleans. But, oh well, New York and LA would do fine too, I guess.
Thanks for sharing that! I saw that on the FB page (and Twitter) - I’m kind of loving that they update all the info pretty regularly with new stuff. LA & NYC are always good cities to get the buzz started on a movie, although NO would also have been a cool idea.
Disney also added a new clip on their website - it’s an extended version of the kiss scene in the trailer. I love the beginning part of it.
Very cool! I am getting more and more pumped for this. It looks really amusing!
Less than three months to go, people! Here’s a brand new theatrical poster from SlashFilm, update courtesy of Wall-E Dragon from the WALL-E forums.
A bit cluttered, but like WED said, it would make a great DVD cover.
And a new featurette! So much new footage! My favourites are the ones at 00:13, 00:49-00:58, 1:16-1:18, 1:58-2:01 (laugh out loud?), 2:05, 2:11-2:35, 2:56 and 3:00. The musical numbers look spectacular and reminded me of those from The Lion King and Aladdin (you’ll know which ones I’m referring to when you see this!). The voice actors as well as the animators look swell, and seeing Mr. Hawaiian Shirt with the Up concept art in the background was a major plus!
Love the pun!
I agree! That would make a totally awesome DVD cover…
Did you watch the featurette, woody? It’s all kinds of awesome!
We just keep getting new featurettes, don’t we? Well, there’s another one up at the bayou section of the site, “Princess Lily”. It’s quite a good featurette, I must say.
Yup, I’ve watched all the features! I love that they’re releasing so many!
Wow. Just, just wow. Watching all these trailers and seeing all the posters…just, wow. This looks incredible.
I know my dad will poke fun at me for going to watch this movie if I do, but this really looks like the movie that will help Disney regain some respect, mainly with those critical of their recent 3-D animated movies (Chicken Little, Bolt, etc.).
I gave in and watched the ‘Kiss the Frog’ scene. One word: Amazing!
I loved Prince Naveen lines like [spoil]“You have a very strong arm” and “Put the monkey down!”[/spoil]. The animation is fantastic too, loved [spoil]Tiana’s double-take when she first sees Naveen on the balcony, the way Naveen rolls onto the dressing table, and how he sprays his mouth with perfume before kissing Tiana.[/spoil]
Voice work is great, soundtrack is okay, if subdued during this scene, and the [spoil]poster Tiana’s looking at intrigues me somewhat.[/spoil]
I’ve noticed in the feature that [spoil] they have a song from Rataouille playing and the song where Tiana is throwing the stuffed animals at him is extremely familiar. I’m thinking it’s from either the Ice Age or Ice Age: The Meltdown soundtrack, but I’ve lost the two and can’t compare [/spoil]
I did get a reply from @WaltDisneyAnim on Twitter, and this is what they replied when I asked them about it:
I’m excited.
The other day I went to the book store and found a book that gives a character analysis on each character, and it tells the story of The Princess and the Frog, Disney style.
Ohhh! This is going to be good!
In case anyone is interested, the first five minutes of the movie are in the link below. It’s all official and everything, no funny business here!

I think from a technical standpoint, the movie obviously looks quite beautiful.
Although, personally, I struggled to get into the story until it reached Tiana’s place. Of course, that could just be that it’s been a long time since I’ve seen such blatant sentimentality and genuinely cutesy characters with no sense of irony involved that made me give it a few moments in doubt.
But I think it improves greatly as soon as you reach Tiana’s place…it all has a real sense of warmth.
Still, I won’t spoil anything just in case!
I think I initially gave the first few minutes a worrying stare because I really want this to succeed. I’m sure kids and little girls in particular will love the movie, though.
I watched the bit where [spoil]Charlotte was declaring she would “kiss a hundred frogs” and was teasing Tiana’s disgust to the story (while tormenting the poor cat, nonetheless!).[/spoil]
I predict that [spoil]this contrasting view will be an issue that will test their friendship if Charlotte learns that Tiana eventually did kiss a frog prince.[/spoil]
But yeah,[spoil] those girls are adorable when they’re kids. The sweet innocence of youth[/spoil]. I stopped when [spoil]the cat fell from the ceiling[/spoil], so I have no idea what happens next.
But from what I’ve seen, it’s looking swell! Thanks, Mark-E!
Which feature did you hear those music, thewisecookiesheet? I gotta have a listen!
I hope they don’t give away too much of the story at the rate they’re releasing these clips. Gotta restrain myself…
TDIT: Here’s the link they posted on Twitter: bit.ly/15Bm1N
They didn’t post with a title, but it’s the full sequence where [spoil]Tiana wishes upon the star, Naveen shows up, she throws the stuffed animals at him, he explains the story, yada-yada…[/spoil]
Mark-E: I loved the clip. Nice find.
ComingSoon had a first look at the billboard posters for TPATF!
You Yanks are so lucky, what I would give see Louie lounging in the middle of Hollywood Blvd.!
