I’ve watched bits of it, and will watch the entire thing after my assignments as a treat (along with the Toy Story 3 trailer, heard it’s out! ), but from the bits I’ve seen, it looks absolutely fabulous, as usual!
Seeing traditional animation like this feels so new and familiar at the same time…
I’m excited for the soundtrack! Ne-Yo’s song is on the radio now, and I’m really digging it so far. It’s a pretty classic Disney ballad, but it’s really sweet.
I’ll tell you what has absolutely sold me on this: when they hit that big minor key vamp and Facilier belts out “Are you ready?”. Yeah, baby, a real musical! I’ve missed those.
Me neither, woody! I want the soundtrack, like, NOW. Aside from Ne-Yo’s song, I really love the “When We’re Human” track, especially since it’s of Naveen singing. Sounds really jazzy and makes me think of New Orleans.
Oooh, that’s so cool, Haunt - didn’t know they had a screening there too! The whole movie looks adorable (the opening 5 mins - sooooo cute). Not sure if any of you have visited the movie’s official website recently, but John Lasseter has a “special message” on there and then it shows a whole bunch of concept art from movie, which look absolutely gorgeous. So, we have some clips, some images, concept art, some music - can’t wait to see the whole thing in full now!
Gieco now has a commercial featuring Naveen and the gecko. Needless to say, I leapt from my chair and dove for the remote MLB-style (the TV had been on mute at the time). Ah, the animation! So subtle, so clean.
Keep an eye out for it!
You know, Disney has been using their Disney Channel stars to promote all sorts of things, but honestly, just add one ANIMATED Disney movie character and the commercial gets my attention more than any of the Disney Channel stuff.
Today, I watched some more extra promos for The Princess and the Frog (I’m sure they’ve already been shared here, though) on Yahoo, and I gotta say, even though you probably saw this coming, I REALLY want to see it!
Same Here, BDD. Although, I’m trying not to watch too much, I think that’s what kinda ruined it for me for Up. I knew too much before the movie was out and vowed to never do it again.
Haha, I looked it up right after posting about how I wanted to see it yesterday, and now it’s one of my faves on YouTube! I mean, it’s short and simple, but it’s fresh, new, and a nice break from those Disney Channel stars sponsers. Disney ought to make more of THESE kind of commercials.
