Yeah, Spongebob used to be the voice of reason. But now his brain’s just as empty as Patrick’s. Gosh darn it.
And I betcha there’ll be another movie soon, as long as they can make money off it

One thing I wonder, is that in the movie Plankton got the secret formula and made loads of patties. He did go to jail, but he was released (of course) And you’d think after making ALL those patties he would memorized the formula, so what is the point of still going after the formula, and how come he hasn’t made Krabby Patties? It’s stupid. Also, anybody remember the commercial on Nick saying “The Spongebob Squarepants was originally going to be the end of Spongebob. But then we thought, how could we get rid of Spongebob?” They have a point lol. But since Season 5 or so, the series started to go downhill. I would still LOVE to see a new movie, not a TV movie, but an actual movie in IMAX 3D. I would see it at midnight! They should have the writers of the first movie write it.
I don’t think a Spongebob sequel is a good idea. I mean, what could you possibly do with the characters in this? It would possibly work better for a TV movie like they did with The Fairly Odd Parents.
Wait, what commercial was this? I never saw it.
They have stuff about it on the internet.

I remember hearing that. I dont’ know where to find a reliable source on the itnerenet though.
I never really saw any ads on Nickelodeon back then saying that Spongebob would end with the movie. I’m not too sure why they wanted to bring back Spongebob.
I’m not too sure why they wanted to bring back Spongebob.
Because Spongebob=$$$$
Thats true. I’m sure Spongebob will still be fresh in 5-10 years since Nick has pratically run out of ideas for shows.
Yep, why also do you think almost every movie need’s a sequel?
I agree. Alot of the film studios now a days like to make alot of sequels. I don’t understand why every film that they make has to have a sequel. Guess people like to know what happens next.
There are some sequels that needed to made (Toy Story 3, The Matrix Revolutions, Saw II and III) and some that didn’t need to be made (Cars 2, The Matrix Reloaded, Saw IV-VII)

Yeah. It works for some francises. I don’t see it working for Spongebob though.
Some of us already know about this. I hope this end’s the series.
Me too. I feel that the series was stretched a tad too thin.

Hoe dare you speak of the best Pixar movie to date as not needing to be made! Who cares if it didn’t need to be made if it’s such a wonderful movie? And to think that you spoke of this on a thread about Spongebob, an entire SERIES that should never have existed.

Well an ending would be nice, to finally see Spongebob stop pumping out new episodes and a squarepant-load of merchandise. It was good for the first three but then it went downhill. But would it still send merchandise despite being cancelled? Would it still be rerun? Would Nickelodeon fall flat on its face and fail without their most sacred cash cow? Because they rerun the show like a dozen times a day and they need to do that. Does stuff like that make them seem pathetic?
I think they would still sell merchandise and show reruns for a while, just not as much. I think it will have rurins like every other cartoon they had and would just show less and less and time go’s on till they only show it rarely.
When I thought Spongebob couldn’t disapoint me anymore than he already has.
