Wow. This is hilarious. Apparently it is alright to disrespect someone for having a different opinion.
I find it very hard for you to garner sympathy or ‘respect’ if you’re hate someone simply for expressing an opinion.
Even if someone said “Twilight is awesome” or “I think pizza is the most disgusting food on Earth”, I’d still respect the person (even though I may hate their opinion).
LOL seriously? He took his time to do that, just because you have different opinions? I’m sorry, I try to be nice to everyone, but I just had to say something about this!
Yeah. I know I blow up a lot, but you remember when I said a new member was being rude? Yeah, it was his PM. I didn’t say his name and tried to be polite, but that was just unnecessary right there. I love TS3. I really do. I’m just willing to say things that bother me or seemed out of place to me. Anyway…
Toy Story 3 is my favorite movie as well, and its people like you who give fans like me a bad name. I can respect virginia and zinem for their beliefs, even if I don’t agree with the topic at hand.
Can we lock this topic up, mods? I think the discussion’s gone as far as it can go without turning bad.
Thanks, Reaper. You summed it up just right. And, just so everyone knows, I don’t dislike or hate TS3. I love it. I just like Toy Story 2 better. Just thought I’d say this before the thread gets locked.
I just felt I had to say this before this topic got locked. HaloCod, you have the right to your opinions. But, never, ever, EVER say you don’t respect anyone on here. You need to get your head in the right place immediately.
Look HaloCod. I’m sorry I upset you, but I really didn’t mean to. I do love TS3. I really do. Heck, I like it just as much as Tangled or HtTYD. I just don’t think it’s perfect. I’m sorry I upset you, now please back down. You don’t need to get in trouble just because you dislike Zinem and me.
I’d just like to say that you can respect someone without having to agree with them. On the flip side, you don’t have to hate someone to not respect them.
All I can say is, a Mod has already given him a warning, and I assume he won’t say such a statement again, so I think we should forgive his mistake and move on.
As for the locking of this thread, I (and I’m sure the other Mods will agree with me on this) will not lock it up. This is simply for the reason that we believe that everyone should have the right to express their opinion, even if it runs contrary to general fandom. The only threads we will close are those of a commercial nature (like trading posts), spambot threads, vulgar or adult-material threads, potentially controversial topics such as race, politics, and religion (although I wish that we were all matured enough to have a civil discussion) and ‘unpurposeful’ or repeat threads.
I have removed the word ‘RANT’ and changed the title because it has a very antagonistic implication (“Am I the only one who doesn’t like this movie?”).
But I believe that we should allow different opinions here, because there are ‘fan-threads’ like ‘I like Cars’, so I don’t see why we can’t have constructive-criticism threads either.
I thought TS3 was amazing! It was very moving to me and i cried like throughout that whole movie YD I’m going to college in a few months and it was almost like a rude wake up call. I’m growing up. No more mommy, no more lazy time, no more play time. You can’t really do things like play with dollies or play video games because “your to old for that”. No really we aren’t but we’re ganna be in a world were that’s ganna change. People are going to judge you way more strictly now. Pretty soon we’ll have kids of our own and we need to be responsible. It doesn’t sound like fun right? Life’s what you make it though. Have fun, don’t stress out, and live a little. It won’t hurt That much.
It’s all about perception. The other day, I was talking to a guy in band named Logan, and he said he hated it. I’ll just do myself a favor and assume he was just annoying me when he said they should have killed the toys in the end and that he didn’t cry. But, with or with out that, no movie is liked or disliked by everyone.
