CGI Clownfish - Ha! So that’s what that “clunk” was. That’s funny.
I just noticed that, during the end of Finding Nemo, when the camera pans up above the water in one shot (I forgot which) to highlight the fishing boat in the distance, you can see one (or both) of the gentlemen in the boat throw the net over the edge of their craft.
I’d seen Finding Nemo sixty-four times, and yet it wasn’t until the sixty-fifth time I saw it (which was last night) that I noticed that. Pathetic. (snigger)
Most recently for me was the patty-cake game between those two kids in TS2, and I only noticed it because the people said it on the commentary. Otherwise, I’d never have seen it. I do love how they add little things like that, and that one scene they pointed out (the patty-cake scene) was hilarious. xD
FONY - Ha-ha! Yeah, I noticed that scene, as well. My sister and I starting laughing when we first saw it.
Did you also notice those two guys “fighting” after the car crash sequence in Toy Story 2, right before the street lamp plummets to the ground? Hilarious.
No, I didn’t catch that - I haven’t been watching any Pixar movies lately, and when I do I find myself in a trance, just following the storyline when, really, I’ve seen it so many times that I should be looking around at whatever is going on in the background.
Thanks for pointing that out though - I’ll be sure to check it out next time.
Some time between the ending of TS and the beginning of TS2, Andy’s mom went to the haircutter. In TS her hair was longer and in a ponytail, but in TS2 her hair was shorter (just above her shoulders).
I just noticed that Boo gives Sullivan a Nemo doll right before he leaves at the end of the movie. Today was my first time seeing Monsters, Inc. in a couple of years, and I chuckled to myself.
I guess I shouldn’t have… that’s the saddest moment in all of Pixar’s history…
Hmm… no I haven’t, but that’s actually interesting.
Because it would be more efficient for the animators to just keep Violet’s hairstyle the same for the majority of the movie (obviously she changes it at the end), the fact that the hair does part to different sides must mean something significant.
Someone with the DVD should research that (I would, but poor me doesn’t own it… I’ll gladly accept donations to get it!)
The reason why the animators part her hair at different sides is because we keep getting diffrent shots of Violet. The parted hair is to see her face from diffent angles.
No, I saw it on IMDB, then watched TI, then I came to a conclusion. No really deep thought in it. It was just a matter of seeing her face and how the character acts.
Watching TI right now, I noticed that In the movie when Syndrome’s last laughter before he dies was set sometime at dusk time. In the trailer, that same laugh was shot but with a morning background sky.
One thing I noticed was that in The Incredibles, when the kids are surrounded by the guards, one of the guards say, “Think they’re supers?” Followed by this:
Violet: Dash, remember what Mom said
Guard: Hey, stop talking!
Violet turns invisible, but the guards don’t seem to notice. Then when Dash takes off and runs, a guard says, “What the- they’re supers!”
They didn’t notice Violet powering up, but they find out that they’re supers once Dash powers up.
I noticed that too. WHen I first saw it, I thought maybe they were just waiting to see if Dash had anything in him. But this was when I first saw that part.
It was so funny – I got sucked into Cars on tv and I noticed that expository scene in the beginning showing the “Men” and "Women"s bathrooms, and the guy cars race into theirs while the women cars are all lined up! It’s funny because it’s true.
The TS commentary opened my eyes to a lot of things, and the same goes for TI. Let’s all give a round of applause for the hand moving under the fabric to find the hole shot!
