also, one time i was watching cars, and i realized that when the reporters first find him, one of them goes “is it true you’ve been in rehab?!” i cracked up for an hour.
Have you guys notcied that in the blooper real of TI everyone had different voices except Violet?
I can’t say I JUST noticed this, but it is something that sorta slipped by me the first several times I watched Monsters, Inc.". In that scene where Randall is taking what he THINKS is “the kid” in the disguised cart of Scream canisters down the corridor to the refinery where he’s built the Scream Extractor, you can TELL that there is someone talking in the background, overheard by Sulley and Boo as they hide in the shadows after following him. Without the benefit of a stereo receiver and a good set of ear phones, though, it’s hard to make out who is doing the talking, and what is being said, due to this loud hum in the background(presumably factory machinery at work generated massive amounts of electricity, since it’s got that same tone that I’ve heard at the electric sub-stations). When I listened with ear phones, though, I could finally make it out. There are three voices: Fungus, who is doing math problems out loud, presumably to amuse himself(he seems like the type), and a conversation between Randall and Waternoose. Since Waternoose isn’t seen, I have to assume that Randall had some sort of radio communication device, like a Walkie-Talkie, on the cart, and Waternoose’s voice does sound like it’s being heard over a small speakier. He speaks first, asking in an irritated, impatient tone of voice, “What are you doing NOW?”
Randall replies, “Making up for lost time”, to which Waternoose responds, “Good. So’s the economy.” That’s when Fungus’ voice becomes loud enough to interrupt, and Randall tells him that he “got the kid”.

The Incredibles had a blooper reel?
It did?
Well…There you go… Something I didn’t notice.
I watched Ratatouille today and noticed something cool:
After Horst, Colette, and the others walk out on Linguini and Remy, Linguini looks disheveled at Remy and walks into his office. When he opens the door, though, you can clearly see the “Anyone Can Cook” cover in his office through the door. I thought that was kind of clever
One thing I noticed recently was that in The Incredibles, when Violet is invisible and the henchman is searching for her, and there is a splash because she jumped into the water, the man shoots, and for a few secs you can see something like a shadow of Violet seeming to curl up and duck from the bullets.
bright-do-dasher: I believe there is something about the light in the water that makes her a little visible. I don’t know, there was an in-depth discussion on Vi’s powers a while back.
I was wondering why Violet was still invisible when she came out of the pond. I mean, wouldn’t the water on her be visible?
Oh boy, I didn’t catch that A113. And water would be dripping from her body too right?
Hmm…now that you mention it, yeah…but maybe there’s more to the supersuit than we know about…
Another thing I noticed is how sometimes Pixar would reuse names.
Example 1: Bob is:
-Mr. Incredible’s secret identity
-The name of one of the fathers in Finding Nemo
-Mentioned when the story spreads in Finding Nemo (…“It’s like wicked dark down there- how’s it going, Bob?”)
Example 2: Tony is
-The name of one of the monsters
-Violet’s crush
Example 3: Mary is
-Boo’s real name
-[spoil] Someone in Wall-E, according to the storybook based on the film [/spoil]
Example 4: Bernie is:
-The first name of Dash’s schoolteacher
-The name of one of the crabs in Finding Nemo
Wow BBD, I never noticed the name similarities. I thought it was just coincidences.
Not that it’s anything bad. They are common names and probably are just coincidences, seeing that there’s probably no resemblence between those characters, no connection either.
Oh, another thing I caught was what Violet and Dash each were saying in the plane scene.I replayed it twice to listen to each.
It went like this:
(scene on plane)
VIOLET: It’s not my fault! Dash ran away and I knew I’d get blamed for it and I thought he tried to sneak on the plane, so I came here and then you closed the door before I could find him and then you took off and IT’S NOT MY FAULT!
DASH: (at the same time) That’s not true! you said ‘Something’s up with Mom, we have to find out what’- it was YOUR idea, YOUR idea, it was all-yours, one-hundred percent all-the-time idea!!!
ELASTIGIRL: Wait a minute, wait a minute, you left Jack-Jack ALONE??!
VIOLET: Yes, Mom, I’m completely stupid. OF COURSE we got a sitter! Do you think I’m TOTALLY irresponsible? Thanks a lot!
DASH: (at the same time) No, we got a sitter, Mom. Someone great. We wouldn’t do that.
(scene in water)
VIOLET: What are we gonna do? What are we gonna do? It blew up!
DASH (at same time): Whose idea was this, anyway? We’re dead! We’re dead! We survived but we’re dead!
Oh yeah Bright-Dot-Dasher, It took me a couple of viewing times, but by the 10th-15th time of watching that part, I was able to understand what Vi and Dash was saying.
I also noticed in the deleted scenes real in the second disc of TI, when you watch a 2D rendering of the deleted scenes, I noticed that Sarah Vowell played the voice of Violet, but other people played the other characters.
TSS: That’s interesting; I wonder why…
-
Another thing I noticed is that Violet’s headband also disappears with her.
So, if she wore clothing under her supersuit, would it also be invisible (including underwear…sorry to mention)? -
In Finding Nemo, when Mr. Ray is singing on the way to the drop-off, he says, “Sing with me!” and “Just the girls this time” and so on, but as he keeps on singing, he doesn’t notice that nobody else is singing with him.
-
When Marlin tells the bad joke to the other fathers, Nemo rolls his eyes, and his face gains an embarassed expression just about the time when the other dads get confused faces.
-
On the way to school, as Nemo talks about many things Sandy Plankton told him, keep your eye on Marlin and you’ll see him keeping up to Nemo in a sort of quick way, following almost every movement and small direction change of Nemo and trying to get really close to his side, as if afraid of Nemo swimming too far ahead.
-
In the Incredibles, when Kari reassures Elastigirl about babysitting Jack-Jack, behind Elastigirl, Dash is talking to Violet, but I can’t hear what he’s saying. If I remember correctly, Violet is just sitting on a plane seat, sort of looking down, and Dash seems to be teasing or something, but it’s hard to tell.
Behind Kari…well how do I describe it? Keep your eye on Jack-Jack, having fun with the orange. At one point he is looking up, what looks like rolling his eyes towards the ceiling, and babbling. I see it as sort of as Jack-Jack mocking Kari. “Bla ba bab ba…”
I just noticed that the bunnies name in Presto is Alec
yeah, did anybody else notice how in Toy Story 2 when the toys are crossing the road, the rolling barrel changes distances from the toys many times.
Durring that scene, I sometimes wonder how do the poeple driving on that road not notice the cones moving.
yeah, that whole scene defies logic a bit.
Well, it is pixar. SOme, if not everything, is logical.
