well, i meant it in a good way.
Have you all noticed on Mirage’s card, her phone number spells SUPR-HRO
Yeah, I’ve noticed that. Funny XD you used to be able to call that number and Mirage would tell you to go to the TI website lulz
And if I can recall, that was the password to get into the secret site during the time of its release.
I’m gonna quote myself from another thread.
That crab in Finding Nemo isn’t named Bernie, afaik.
Tell me where you found that information…MWAHAHAHAHA!
The whole Mirage’s phone number thing is really cool- I never knew that! And that’s hilarious that they actually put a line up so that you could call it. Pixar’s attention to detail is almost scary at times.
I actually never tried calling that number. I wonder what happens in you call it now.
If the number’s already registered to someone, I wonder if they know how special their number is.
I also noticed that in the NSA Sper files, Plasmabolt aside from (Mr. I, Elastigirl, and Frozone) is the only Glory Days SUper that in unknown to being alive, missing, or dead.
After watching Toy Story for the kazillionth time, I can’t believe I only noticed this today!
This may’ve been mentioned before, but I’m still astounded that I didn’t notice this earlier! It turns out that the petrol station that Buzz and Woody get deserted at, is called ‘DINOCO’, i.e. the big sponsor from Cars!
When I first saw it, I was like “Dinoco, Dinoco… Now why does that sound so familiar!” I’m so slow!
well, yeah, ilikepinatas, it has been mentioned in several other threads, if I remember correctly, but at least you figured that out by yourself. I didn’t even notice that until I was told.
Ilikepinatas: As soon as someone pointed that out, i pulled out my TS dvd and started looking for it. I was so surprised to see how something back in the day could be used in a Pixar movie 11 years later.
Two things noticed:
In Jack-Jack Attack, Kari wears three shirts, each with the same design just different colors. When shown telling Rick Dicker about the incident, she is wearing white with blue sleeves. At the beginning of babysitting Jack-Jack, she is wearing white with yellow sleeves. After Jack-Jack spills milk on her, she changes to white with green sleeves.
Well this one I shouldn’t take credit for finding: my friend found this out and told me. In Your Friend the Rat, when the disclaimer pops up at the end, and Remy and Emile complain about how it was typical, the disclaimer is just repeating the same things over and over (zoom in, slow it down, take a look if you want).
I never noticed the cahnge in color. I’ll have to check on it next time I watch.
Too much Incredibles for me!!!
Here’s some Cars things I’ve noticed over time just to even it out for me.
1.) When Lightning sees Sally when the paparazzie come, you hear Harv say “You want a bigger trailer?” to try to bring him back. LOL!
2.) Right after Mater goes “He did what in his cup?” Filmore leans into Sarge and says “Dude’s hallucinatin’ man.” Sarge is so freaked out, he shifts over away from Filmore. LOL
3.) When Lightning is done with his phone call with Harv in his trailer, a mini van with a mattress on his head goes by. Watch when you see the Top Down Truck Stop. In the corner, you see him stop and the mattress falls off of his head. LOL
4.) This is more of a mistake in a way, but I’ve noticed it. Lightning kicks a can into Doc’s garage and you hear a long crasing sound. Nothing looks as if it’s crashed.
That’s all I’ve got for now.
Some studio trends I’ve been noticing as of lately:
(1) Rated PG for person subjects, rated G for non-person subjects (reference to main subject in feature films)
(2) Only took 4 directors for first 10 feature films–John Lasseter did 4, the other 3 (Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter, Brad Bird) did 2 each
(3) Most of the film score came from Randy Newman, his cousin Thomas Newman, and Michael Giacchino
(4) Love and friendship are 2 common themes
(5) Never giving up (don’t let anything stop them)
(6) Hilarious commentary (Try watching George and AJ with that!)
(7) Studio stories (try seeing that on the combo pack versions of all 3 Toy Story movies!)
(8) Majority of themes first covered in Toy Story (reference to individuals of toy gang)
(9) Funny scenes far outnumber emotional/disturbing scenes
(10) Majority of females are tomboyish to some extent (ever notice this?)
No matter how many times I watch a Pixar movie, I always notice something new upon each viewing. A recent one would be in Brave. When Fergus is retelling the Mor’du story for the bajillionth time, it’s not hard to notice the first triplet, who’s kinda mocking him, or even the second triplet, who just bangs his head on the table in exasperation… but anyone notice the third one, who’s shaped his haggis dinner into a what looks like something between a pineapple or a face? He’s all “la dee da I’m makin’ a pineapple guy…” Gets a laugh out of me every time XD
Aren’t the majority of Pixar’s females like, tomboyish to some extent? I mean, just look at this list of examples here:
(1) Except for her worries about being abandoned, Jessie would be considered tomboyish partly because of her ability to open the door for Buster after launching herself off the ramp set with a miniature skateboard. She also fights Woody after he blames her for turning on the TV:
“Well, if the boot fits…” “Say that again.” “If the boot fits.” “Okay, cowboy.”
(2) Colette is the toughest cook in the kitchen, as she herself claims to be. She also carries pepper spray, which she starts taking out of her pocket but manages to stop when Linguini kisses her.
(3) EVE has a laser gun in her arm. (Yes, we all know that.) She also does several other things, which includes helping WALL-E and M-O escape from the garbage bay. In general, she means business!
(4) What about Edna Mode and her “No capes!” rant?
(5) Or Holley Shiftwell, being a secret agent with Finn McMissile, trying to get Professor Z to talk?
“Say it.” “Deactivate.”
That’s just a few examples for what I’m trying to point out here, all right?
^Yeah, Pixar makes some seriously awesome and tough leading ladies Merida in general, Sally’s competitive edge, Hardscrabble’s seriously scariness… the list goes on a lot, doesn’t it?
