I actually work at Disney World, not in the stores, but I do frequent them, especially the big toy store at Downtown Disney, and they have not stocked a single TSC item since they were introduced. The closest thing is the old bucket of soldiers. Sorry.
Nothing in Orlando this morning. Disney Store, Toys R Us, Target…all a bust. The only new item I saw was the Twitch action figure at Toys R Us. And the shelves were all filled with older items, so they didn’t seem to have plans to put anything new out anytime soon. Target had a ton of empty pegs, and empty shelves, all labelled for TS3 items, but the only new TSC item they had listed was Potato. I am going to a different Toys R Us after work tonight just in case.
I frequented a few Targets and TRUs myself this morning as well. One target just had empty shelves and pegs, the other had SOME TS3 stuff, then the last Target had the individual green aliens that I was looking for so I was happy about that. The Twitch figure, is that just the regular mattel version or the bigger one with sounds and whatnot?
Off topic i know… but check out my Muppet replicas i made pixarplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6414 Now back on topic…
Here, The local Toys R Us was popping out the smaller TS3 figures and medium size pieces, but nothing on the Collection Series.
At Target, I did manage to pick up two of the Glow in the Dark Aliens figures, but did not get a full set. They are a softer plastic that can be squeezed but STILL did not have the squeaking whistle built into the bottom of them. I checked another Target and found the section to be totally empty and a sign up saying they were working on updating the section. They also had TS deluxe 6 inch plastic figures that were new, very nicely made with sharp crisp detailing.
The local Disney store had nothing different from last week.
I did see the new Mattel Jessie and have to say it was not nearly as nice as the Thinkway pieces. It is a smaller / shorter figure as well the materials are sub standard to what you get with the Thinkway Jessie figure. The jean material is printed, not a real jean cloth. It is better proportioned, but looked inexpensive / cheaper due to the size issue.
Just the small action figure. The other TS3 figures on the peg with it were all Buzz or Jessie.
how much was the alien? i might pick one up
When I first saw that scene, I thought he was in a lunchbox or something. But anyways, Pixar has made a full model of the box, and it’s actually in a book. If you’d like, I can scan it for you.
There’s also another version of Zurg’s box in the Toy Story 2 game which [excectedly] doesn’t really resemble how it should at all.
The individual aliens are 9.99 at Target
I scoured all of my local stores, and the only things I could find were Utility Belt Buzz, the new single-pack Aliens, a bunch of new smaller figures in TS3 packaging, and new versions of non-TSC movie-size Buzz and Woody in TS3 packaging. Both of these have new features not available on any of the other Thinkway versions. Buzz features new music, several new sayings, and lights on his rocket pack jets. Woody features new music, new sayings, and a sensor in his head that triggers specific sayings when you put on or take off his hat. There is also a movie-size Jessie in TS3 packaging, but she appears to be identical to the version that has been out for a few months.
aw man my buzz has run into a problem, the left wing won’t go in properly, it will fold down but the small part of the wing with the light won’t stay in, any suggestions??
I forgot to add that one of the new things I found at Target was a two-pack of mini-aliens from the “Adult Collector” series. They are not movie-size (they are slightly less than 1/2 scale), but they do have one feature that makes them worth considering - THEY SQUEAK.

That problem sounds kind of similar to the one I’ve had with Buzz, except one of the wings wouldn’t fully extend when opening them up and the red light at the tip of the wing went out. I had to take Buzz back and exchange him for the same one, and now he’s just fine. This time though I don’t shorten the wings when I fold them back down to make sure they don’t get stuck again. I’ve also noticed that they’ve changed the front of the box slightly since I last got him, and I don’t mean the new white background logo but that a “Try Me” label was added next to the small opening for his buttons and the one with all the descriptions is a different shape.
So for me the problem isn’t when they won’t stay in but when they get stuck and won’t come out like they should.
Hey I just signed up for this site a few days ago, but have been reading about the topic for months. I just wanted to say that i went to my nearby Target a Wal-Mart stores and didn’t have any luck. They still dont have Mr. Potato Head, which kind of makes me angry.

Yeah, that would be cool if you could.
