Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

Target also sells the bucket o soldiers and RC. Although Rc isnt with the rest opf the toy story products. He’s located by the remote controlled cars

Anybody know where I can get the collection Rex? I looked at the Target and Toys R Us websites and no one has it. I don’t want to have to pay the Disneystore price.

I havent seen them either. Maybe they immediately pulled them to replace them with articulated jaw’d versions.

Hey, I can dream cant I?

Does anybody know if they’re going to make a Toy Story collection Bulleseye?? I would really like one!

No word as of yet.

That would be great, and who knows, maybe it’s possible. I mean, look at the two versions of the Bucket O Soldiers. I’d say variants aren’t out of the question.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone else had a problem finding a Buzz that doesn’t have a scuffed up helmet?

Yeah, both of mine (remember, I had to return one for being defective) had some scuffs on them.

My dad says there might be a polish (used for car headlights) to get rid pf them but I don’t know if I believe it.

the sucky thing is that you cant really see them that well when their in the package.

Just ordered my Rex from Amazon. They just got more in FYI

You guys should check out these videos, they seem to have every toy story toy ever made, along with prototypes.

I don’t think they have any ones from the toy story collection series, but they do have some I didn’t know existed. in the second video theres a japan only version of Jessie in her woody’s round up box, though it looks a lot skinnier than it should. if you want to see Stinky pete in his box hes in the first video.

And Oklahoma’s Man of Steel, let us know when it comes in if your Rex has lockjaw or not. I don’t expect it to be articulated, but it doesn’t seem like he’s been on shelves for a while, so there might be a slight chance its been changed.

wow the Chicken Man has been working overtime! Me wants the large Hamm :frowning:

that Large hamm was cool, and i honestly didn"t know there were that many buzzs and rexs.

Don’t know why but I absolutely hate how the inside of Buzz’s wrist communicator doesn’t say “Made In Taiwan”.

Just got it today. I absolutely love it. The size and detail don’t even compare to the old one. Unfortunately there is still no jaw articulation. Now I just have to find the soldiers with the certificate.

Hello! I’m happy to have found this forum and the amount of information on the Thinkway line! I’ve been a Toy Story fan since the movie came out and have grown up right along with Andy!

My question, does anyone plan on purchasing both versions of the Army Men? Typically a toy with a mistake or misprint is rare and worth more in the future… If I find the flawed version I may just have to pick it up…

I called my local Disney Store and they have REX for 55.50. Target or Toys R Us does not carry him for some reason…

The thing is, I’m not sure we know for sure if this is considered a mistake, this could be as simple as the other toy story toys that have an expensive version and a cheaper version. I guess it is possible that this was an early batch that they screwed up with, but I got to thinking about this, and well, toys go through so many stages and have to be finalized way before they are released in most cases. I could see if it was as simple as a packaging thing and the missing COA, but we’re talking completely different sculps. This was no accident from what I can tell. the only mistake comes from marketing. they dont seem to tell the consumer that their is more than one kind out there. the other version isnt even sold on disney’s store last I checked.

I do plan on getting the more accurate version, but I doubt I’ll keep the other one. I have no need for two, so I’d like to sell it. I assume I cant return/exchange it anymore, my 30 days are up.

I doubt it’ll be worth more though, since its not just a defect.

There was a guy on another board that said that Thinkway told him that they couldn’t get the data for the army men in time to release the “replica” versions with the initial release of the line so they put out these until the others could get out. With both versions of these being the same price this makes since.

Interesting, do you have a link to this other board? I’d like to see if there was any other cool tidbits.

Well if they did indeed release these before obtaining the correct data from Pixar, I wonder if they will discontinue the first version? I would not see any reason for making 2 different versions with one being incorrect and no having the certificate. So that leads me to believe that the first version may be rare after the stores go through their stock.

Also, I just picked up Rex from my local Disney Store. I was surprised to see that they are packaged without any plastic around them and basically half the figure out of the box. The way you see Rex on the video with John Lasseter is how they are packaged at the store. I wonder how they ship these without ruining the box? The 3 that were on the store’s shelves were basically destroyed! I asked if they had any more in the back warehouse and they did! I suggest anyone trying to get a good box to ask for one that was not put on the store’s shelves. I’m going to have to find a clear bag or display box for Rex. I’m sure dust will collect quickly in his box and be hard to remove.

So we’re assuming the Mr. Potato Head has copyright issues and thus not been released yet? I am anxious to know if there will be any additional figures in this line. The fact that these figures are sculpted from Pixar data and their level of detail, makes me a sucker for them!

I second that!
