Where do you live Pieman411? It seems like these collection series figures are being released once a month. My predicted Mr. Potato Head release date: November 11th near the release of Up! idk…
Canada, kewl, I’ve never been there. Yeah, I just discovered the Pizza Planet truck today and found one on eBay that was ending in like 5 minutes. I bid on it during the last 10 seconds!
Yikes, so they went and did another rex and still no articulation? What’s the point?
As for the other pic, it impossible to tell without higher res or a more close up shot, but even if it is, it’s no surprise. We know for a fact articulation was in at some point on the prototypes. These aren’t nessisarily the final toys.
This explains why we saw two jaw positions in lasetters video…
Anyway I think I’ll aim for the open mouth rex he just looks better to me.
In some photos I think it may just be the way the figure and camera is positioned, (optical illusion…) So I took a measurment of my figure. I measured between his two front teeth on bottom and on top, from lip edge on top and bottom.
Some interesting info from the Sideshow Collectors forum:
"They delayed [Mr. Potato Head] so that they could devote more shelf space for the other figures. Some stores aren’t even carrying this whole line due to the amount of shelf space it eats up. Let’s face it these figures aren’t small and unless you are Hasbro or Mattel, you aren’t going to catch a break from retail stores. TRU though does seem to be the best place to find these. Almost all stores have huge displays to tie in with the TS/TS2 double feature.
There was also a defect in the talking feature on Mr.P so Thinkway went back and fixed the problem.
Amazon had min up a few months ago and Target just put him up a few weeks ago. Both say out of stock/not available.
Mr. P is supposed to be out by Black Friday for the holidays along with one other unannounced figure. Rumor mill says Hamm.
Wave 2 should be out by March which features Jessie."
