Hey everyone, new member. I’ve been lurking on the forum for a few days and just decided to join.
I went to my local Toys R Us on Wednesday and found that they had three Bullseye figures. Didn’t buy him on the spot like I should have and went back today to find that one was left with paint damage to his eyes.
Right now I own TSC Woody (bought him back in October) and just bought TSC Buzz last month. I have a question though about the Woody doll. When I first picked him up at Toys R Us I noticed that all the Woody dolls had their left cheek half painted pink, I figured that was the way it was supposed to look and bought it. When I came home I noticed that the paint was a little rough on the piece of his hair that twirls. I later found out that the left cheek on my Woody doll is a paint defect. Is there a way that I can have Thinkway send me a new Woody doll in return for my old one or is it too late?
Went on a Jessie/bullseye hunt today, no luck. my toys r us just now got utility belt buzz in. Crappy selection all around, though I dud see Lotso for the first time today at target. He is exactly how i expected him to look in person (for those telling me i should wait before judging)
Anyway, its been too long since i added anything to my collection, and I really wanted to buy Something on the TS3 release date, so i bought one of the single target exclusive aliens. Its the clossed mouth one. I hope to add a squeeker eventually, just gotta find one.
And thankfully he seems to be the softer type. Though I havent actually felt the others to compare, I just have a feeling their harder.
Actually to take the front part off you do not need to unscrew Buzz. All you need to do is squeeze the sides a bit and it will pop right off.
I sent in for a replacement and the one I got came wrapped up very nicely and protected but when I opened it there were still scuff marks, worse than the original even. Does anyone know where to get the plastic polish?
Yeah for the back you definitley have to take it apart. When you take that piece off you have to get a little forceful with it. It feels like your going to break it but then it comes off. Putting it back on is very easy though. I would try getting one from Thinkway and if you break the old one while taking it off it won’t matter as long as you have the replacement.
I am so disappointed…I was in Madison today (the nearest “Big City”) seeing TS3 again & shopping. We looked up where the Toys R Us was, and drove and drove and drove, and apparently Google maps mixed Toys R Us up with a new apartment complex in the middle of no where?
So…I came home empty handed. I was REALLY hoping to maybe, by some miracle, snag Bullseye today, and Jessie of course. So far, it looks like Bullseye can only be found in person & can’t be found online? It’s bugging me, cause i love him ever so much, and after seeing TS3 I really want him. \
I’m impatient I know…I like to think of it as a medical condition
Btw…is this the Hamm you guys liked from Disney Store? There’s no Disney Store open in my state, and the one I used to go to w/ my gparents in their town just closed.
The bigger Hamm is around 13 inches long, and retails for $19.50. Call around and have them ship, Disney Stores. They do indeed offer that, at reasonable rates (standard usps shipping rates)
I just came back from seeing Toy Story 3. It was way better than the second movie, and perhaps even better than Toy Story 1. Yeah, it was that good. But the reason I’m writing this in this thread is because I feel like HAMM played a HUGE role in the trilogy not to be included in THINKWAYs Toy Story COLLECTION.
Hamm was always present in this new movie, and his evil side was emphasize a lot. After seeing the movie, it would amaze me if thinkway doesnt make a collection version of Hamm which features his true personallity and his villian angle. Anyway, I went ahead and purchased the disney store exclusive on eBay today. I had my doubts about getting Hamm, but after seeing the new movie it definitely is must have toy. No Toy Story collection would be complete without him. Thinkway needs to reconsider Hamm in case they are not currently working on a dual-personality Hamm to come out in a future wave. A Hamm that could turn good or evil would justify all the gimmics that Thinkways uses in their collection series and the high price. Thinkway would be stupid not to do it.
Anyway, after seeing the new movie, I wonder why they decided to make RC instead.
Did anyone notice that Woody says “I’d like to join your posse boys, but first I’m gonna sing a little song” when his string was pulled, but the Collection version doesn’t? Granted, this movie came out after the toy, but you would think Pixar would tell them to include something like that if they knew that it would be in the movie, and “Somebody poisoned the water hole” as well. Just my two cents.
You know, that would be a dream come true, but that isn’t exactly the case. I think they are basically visual replicas, since they’re from Pixar’s digital files, and overseen by Pixar as well. Functionality is a no. Some stuff is too advanced to be made, or too primitive so features are added. Accurate materials are a hit-and-miss. They’re all high-quality, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re accurate. Woody is basically perfect when it comes to materials, but Rex, who is supposed to be cheap plastic, is now in high quality vinyl. Accurate dialouge was attempted, but there’s still some missing. At least the voices are great.
