During A Trip To Kmart They Had A Spanish English Buzz A Jessie Doll That Talked And The New Woody That Talked Whenever His Hat Was Off I Bought The Woody Although I Was Hopeing To The Toy Story Collection Woody But This Woodys Aright I Guess
Here’s a comparison shot of my Bullseye and a frame from TS2.
I went to TRU today to take a closer look at the two remaining Bullseyes. The eyes varied in their vertical position by about 5mm (I actually measured them ), but I was also able to push and tug my Bullseye’s eyes about the same amount so it should be fine unless it looks noticeably off. One of them had a slightly crooked snout and the other had a wrinkle on its face, though.
The eyes are each held in place by a larger flat plastic disc under the fabric, so what you see in the pic is as close together as the eyes are going to get.
The rest of the body has been great on the ones I’ve seen and despite the face issues, I’m very happy with this overall.
He looks great to me
I can’t wait to pick my bullseye up soon
Hes the last one i need to complete the collection =D
Wouldnt need to remove the head, just make sure you have a SHARP execto knive. Will cut through that vinyl really easily. I’m going to do this exact thing with my Rex later this summer when I get the time. A repaint would make it look ALOT more accurate, to mimic the hard plastic, rather than soft vinyl.
Aussie collectors:
Saw Lotso at Big W for around $60. Didn’t buy him as I am not going to collect TS3 characters. The strawberry smell is overpowering when there are 6 together.
The other find though - Bullseye at K Mart. $49. Awesome. I got one of two and the other had dodgy eyebrows.
No sign of TSC Jessie at all. Though supposedly she is coming.
This was all in Sydney’s North west btw.
Someone posted the Mega Guardian Buzz (a Mattel toy) and here’s the screencap from the end of that ad- also advertising Electronic Woody
Are these just foreign exclusives or has anyone found them in the US? I personally like this Woody more than any of Thinkways or previous Mattel ones -Omar

this is the right one, correct?I’m really anxious to order…a little concerned about the eye issues…but I’m not too nitpicky…should I order? Or drive 2 hours to the nearest TRU. Just want an opinion before I do anything

Well some of the quality issues are pretty bad. Some of the eyes are even over the eyebrow. I personally wouldn’t buy him online. Since your toysrus is 2 hours away, call them to see if they have him in stock. You can find their phone number using the toysrus store locator. Also ask how many there are, if they only have like 2 you want to make sure you ask them to hold one for you. Can’t guarantee the ones they have will be good quality though, but neither can the online ones. So if you really want a Bullseye that looks dead-on to the film, I’d say wait so you can judge the quality yourself.
For those in the UK, tru have Jessie in stock. Smyths the toyshop have Lotso and disney store have peas, buttercup and pricklepants.
Took a trip to my local tru to get Jessie. They had 17 in stock and I couldn’t find one that did not have a defect. Every single one had awful paint application around the mouth. On one, the paint was so bad it covered her teeth entirely in the lip colour. I’m beyond appalled with the qc on this figure. It beggars belief that they are pushing out these dolls as collectible and can’t even get the paint app right. I left the store empty handed. I’m more than capable of fixing the problem but I don’t see why I should. I know in the end I may have to but it’s plain wrong.
I know exactly how you feel! I was finally able to find one where everything else was perfect - the buttons are spaced and lined up properly, the hair doesn’t need to be rebraided (even though it is still too think in back), the eyes are good, etc. The only real problem is the lip color, which isn’t as bad as most. So I caved and bought her. Of course, once I got her home and had a closer look at her hat, I noticed some pretty sloppy paint apps on the white band. Oh well.
None of the hat bands on the one’s I saw were any good either. I have the Mattel Jessie which I prefer anyway but I want the complete collection. Thinkway can’t be making any checks on these items at all. We’ve waited so long in the UK for this wave to arrive and this happens. Maybe we should all email Thinkway and let them know of the problems. It may just wake them up a bit.

This looks close enough for me, I’d love to have one that looks like this.

Just curious, but why? It looks much less accurate than both the Thinkway or the Mattel ones. In fact, it closely resembles the very inaccurate original 1995 Thinkway Woody.
has anobody here had email thinkway about the simple fail on their product : facial expression ?
i still bother why they not make the perfect facial expression that accurate to the movie when the toy is in the toy mode…its not hard it is?
even the main character…woody and buzz…
so,what’s the function of that COA ?
they can make a cool fiture of electronic, moving head, talkback mode, toy mode, quality sound system, but not a right face expression? holy cow…
-just still bothered-

It’s not Thinkway’s fault, they’re using the digital data supplied to them by Pixar.
Yeah John Lasseter is the one who wanted the expressions to be like they are on all the dolls.
I have emailed Thinkway about my Woody doll having sloppy paintwork but never received an email back. I emailed them last Saturday.
I’m hoping to get Jessie soon but did notice some quality control issues on her teeth because of overlapping lip color. I’ve never been eager to buy her but since Rex can only be bought in person at the Disney Store and RC is so expensive, I’m going to have to settle.

Woody The Cowboy, it really makes it difficult to read your posts when you capitalize every word.

With seeing your Pricklepants mod, I’m convinced they can be altered to look pretty screen accurate, and he’s right around screen scale too.
Thank you for posting pics of him, becasue I was contemplating making one for a run, but that saves more room for Chuckles now. (and maybe a few of the smaller wooden toys…)
Tyler, what are you refering to when you say, “Smaller wooden toys”?
And that fabric you are suggesting for Pricklepants looks too light in color, but the texture looks good.

Backround characters, like the guy with the string arms and wooden body.
