Great Job! With the eye fix, you made Bullseye look WAY better, and proves that the fix can be done. AWesome job. Looks like it jumped off the screen, its %100 accurate.
Thank you! I was so happy to be able to do that. I couldn’t imagine going back to Toys R Us to explain why I needed to exchange the doll for another one.
So far Bullseye has been my favorite of the collection. I love the Woody doll and he was the one I was most excited to get but Bullseye is so fun to look at and I love that you can play the Woody’s Roundup theme.
My TSC Buzz and Woody arrived in the mail today from Toys R Us!
Buzz is absolutely perfect! My Buzz still has the scratch on the helmet that everyone’s talking about, but he’s working like a charm.
However, I have a problem with Woody and was wondering if anybody had the same problem. First, he came in the English/French box instead of just the English box, so it looks kind of weird. He still speaks only English, though. Second, his string doesn’t really snap back into his body like the videos I’ve seen. Most of the time I have to slowly release his pull string in order for it to snap back. Third, his “play” mode constantly thinks that I’m shouting at him, even if I don’t say a word. He doesn’t respond to anything. I haven’t had time to change the batteries (and I’ll be out of town for the next week so I won’t be able to) to see if it’s his batteries that are an issue, but has anybody had this same issue? Should I contact Thinkway and ask for a replacement? Or do I just need to replace the batteries?
Thanks for me chiming in on this conversation, I’ve read every single page!
The bilingual boxes are Canadian. I think you may need to get a replacement, but try the batteries first. Even when mine was on terribly low batteries, he still responded appropriately.
It is possible for his legs to have articulation but still stand up straight.

Thanks for the reply. So I was desperate and tried new batteries, and my TSC Woody’s talkback mode still kept thinking I was shouting at him. He has yet to say anything else when I talk to him. I e-mailed the Thinkway support and am waiting for a response. Is there a better way to contact then than the e-mail link on their site? Does anybody think I should also ask Toys R Us for a replacement, even though I already opened the box, or is that not worth a try?
I guess it doesn’t matter. With the sale I got him at, TSC Buzz and Woody only cost me about $30 each, plus $13 shipping and tax. That’s the same price as the cheaper Woody, and he looks amazing! I just wished his electronics worked…
I know it’s probably a long shot, but is it at all possible to remove Rex’s mouth, carve out the inside, and reattach it on a hinge? I’d love a Rex with an articulated jaw.
So I tried moving the eyes on Bullseye, like what was suggested and it worked. I tried to be very careful not rip the eyes out and was able to give the eyes a nice slant. The eyes were easier to adjust from the bottom, the top of the eye is a little harder to move but I was able to adjust it a tad. I’m definitely a lot happier with his look now.

He definitely looks much better now. The snout looks even too.
I’ll be heading back to TRU to take a closer look at the other Bullseyes, but from what I’ve seen I think that’s as good as it’s gonna get.
I recently found out something with my TSC Jessie. Somehow I found a way to turn on her voice box without the need of taking the box out to turn on the sounds. What I did was feel for the switch and then I turned it on without any extra work.
I bought Lots-o’ for my fiance the other day - she loves it. I gotta say for how much I spent I was worried about it being a badly made toy. Was a great deal better than I thought it would be though and she pretty much has it with her constantly.

It’s more than likely possible if you have the right tools and skills necessary for such an undertaking, but it would be a lot of work to do it right. You’d have to take the head off, completely hollow out a majority of the piece so that the mouth could move the way it’s supposed to, cut the plastic in the right spots for the two separate mouth pieces, add the hinge and make it attach properly, and then reassemble everything, while doing all the touch-up work to make it look decent after all the “surgery”. While it would be possible, unless you’re willing to do all that work to do it right, I would just leave it like it is, especially since he’s expensive to replace and isn’t widely available.
Yeah, currently I don’t own the TSC Rex, but still I don’t know if I’d be able to do all of that.
Also, I had a question: what’s the difference between the first and second versions of the Bucket Of Soldiers? I do not have either but my friend has the first version. I know that the second is more accurate, but what makes this true?
Shark Bait Woo-hoo!

The sculpt of the army men are different and inaccurate. I also believe the first bucket doesn’t even have a Sarge, except for the paratrooper. The accurate one has a picture of the Certificate of Authenticity on the side.

The first version of the Bucket O’ Soldiers doesn’t have the Certificate of Authenticity, and the figures are made out of a different color green plastic. The poses in the first Bucket aren’t all movie poses and Sarge is mistakenly made as one of the Parachute troopers.

The second version comes with the COA and is the right shade of green for the Army Men. The poses are more accurate to the movie as well.

Hope that helps.
Thanks! I hope to get it after my next addition: Bullseye!
Sorry about duplicate posts. I don’t know why that keeps happening to me.
Hey guys I would also want to know the differences I know for a fact that it isn’t because of the COA or the sarge cuz I have the bucket with the blue cloud TSC Logo and I have a normal Sarge and a COA. Unless I have the question wrong I think they were asking about the difference between the blue and clould logo bucket and the white logo bucket.
The two logos buckets are exactly the same. Its the COA you gotta look out for to make sure you have the right one. they also have pictured the ones you’ll be getting, and you can tell by looking at them if their the right ones.
to clarify there are two COA versions, and the first one with no COA and completely different sculpts.
Oh, thanks Kyle!
Now there are even more versions to allow for more confusion! Yay! Not really, since the better versions show the CoA on the container itself (thanks 4869).
Another update for fellow Aussie collectors.
Contrary to Funtastic’s previous comments, K-Mart is advertising the (Thinkway?) “collection” versions of Woody (although the version pictured is the non-collection Woody), Bullseye, Rex, Mr Potato Head and Lotso in their latest catalogue for only $50.00 each. That represents a HUGE saving given Rex has been retailing at Toys R Us for $140.00.

I’m looking forward to adding at least Rex and Bullseye to my collection for those bargain prices. And once I see the film (which opens in Australia today), I may well be tempted by Lotso as well.
As previously noted, Big W have a Lotso and RC pictured in their latest catalogue as well, but they haven’t revealed their prices yet.
