Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

As I live in the UK i cannot view that link, it automatically redirects to the UK disney store.

Wish people would stop linking the US disney site >.>

Ah that stinks. I always miss out on TRU sales.

The Woody doll that was linked for those who can’t see is just the 95 version.

I tried to view the UK Disney Store website and it automatically redirects me to the US (.com) website. I tried it many times always with the same result. Guess they only want specific countries to view specific sites. - I have been able to view and buy from the Amazon UK site. So it must be Disney that wants it that way and not an overall US vs UK issue.

Yes we know, my point being that i dont know what you’re talking about in posts where you refer to the disney site :stuck_out_tongue:
Just save the picture and upload it to imageshack.us or something.

Calm down guys, we can see the US site from the UK and vice versa. Go to the Disney Store home and scroll down to find the link to the US site. That will redirect to you disneystore.com and you can search for the product those guys are talking about from there.

Most users are in the US anyway, asking them to stop linking to the US Disney site is like telling them to stop talking about K Mart and Sam’s Club cause we don’t have them in the UK!

This is going to be my last post unfortunately. I want to wish all of you good luck with your collections and hope that you all can find whatever it is to make it complete. I want to say goodbye especially to Kyle and Tyler because of you 2 I joined this thread and for family reasons I’m leaving. It’s been a blast with all of you. Keep on collecting.

Hey guys, I have the Regular TSC Buzz Lightyear since Christmas, & the helmet went bad. It doesn’t stay closed or open. You tap it, the helmet goes nuts. It was annoying, so i took off the helmet parts, & he looks good. So have you guys had this problem?

You seem to be forgetting that Pixar changes the scales of the characters and other details to make scenes work, thus making it hard to translate into real life (think Buzz’s arms). I mean, according to that scene Buzz’s feet are also long enough to fit into the rests. More likely than not it’s just that Woody or Bullseye was made bigger or smaller for that scene, so it’s nothing to worry about.

caleb, I cant help but be curious as to what family issues would keep you from using the internet anymore, but then again its none of my business. hope everything’s okay.

Back on the topic of Bullseye’s scale: I didn’t forget about them often cheating, but I can usually point to specific shots that contradict each other somehow. if we can find evidence that they scaled him down for specific riding shots I would feel alot better about his scale, but until then I really think he’s too large.

Anyone up for some detective work to determine his scale? Find any shot that suggests he’s larger than he appears when being ridden. Preferably no promo art, those things are often just eyeballed in photoshop and shouldn’t be taken as truth all the time.

Though Bullseye is the only part of the collection I own (considering buying a woody or Jessie to go with him) when I got him I thought there was absolutely no way he could be in scale. This screencap made me somewhat believe that it actually is in scale just in comparison to Andys hand I put my hand around it in the same position and then had my dad do it also, and it seemed right to me.

This one might also offer some help

Someone with a Jessie and Bullseye should try to replicate these

not the best shot to go on, since one, you cant see enough of their bodies, and its not like we know how large Andy’s hands are. everyone has different sized hands.

Edit: as for the second shot, its really hard to make out, but it seems as if Jessie’s feet cant reach the stirrups (had to look up the name, I knew there was an actual name for it other than foot rests, heh) which the real thing doesn’t either, but Im not sure what else that says about the scale. thats if Im even seeing it correctly. cant tell for sure what part is what on that fuzzy quality pic.

Edit: I doubt this accomplishes anything, but what the hey.

Well, best wishes Caleb

LOL did you wear a shirt similar to Andy unpurpose?

Bullseye looks awesome
it is kinda hard to compare the screen with the toys but he looks on scale to me

I have taken a close look at my Jessie and she seems to line up properly to the screen dimensions. If you look at this shot, her shoulder is just under the saddle height. BUt… Bullseye is on a plastic stand which brings him a bit higher than her on the doll stand.

I believe that that difference in the stands is the only issue, standing straight up, she is right on to the screen heights. If you look at the difference in the shoulder to chin and then minus off the stand height, mine looks to be about perfect to the screen shot dimensions.

I think what all of you need to think about in regards to Bullseye’s scale issue is this -

We live in the real organic world. This is a digitally created movie with visuals that are not real. The scale of something from a computer animated image on tv isn’t going to look exactly the same as an object in the real world, even if the scale is technically correct.

Despite high definition movies, 3D and how awesome picture quality is now, it is still fake and it is still tv. You are watching a screen with artificial two dimensional images. You can’t simply grab the object on the screen and make a toy out of it that will look as if you are watching the movie, but they can come damn close.

Considering the Pixar digital information was used in creating these toys, i believe that they are in scale, however nothing is ever going to look exactly the same from screen manifested into the real world, because it is IMPOSSIBLE to create an object in the real world with the same exact textures from a computer animated movie. At least it is impossible at this point in time.

So with that said, I think these toys are amazing and look fantastic.

yep.

I’ve noticed that in the ts3 video game, Bullseye is smaller than the thinkway toy suggests. I know it sounds stupid comparing a video game but Avalanche had access to pixar data to. Look at the opening of the game when you control woody on Bullseye. He looks almost pony like in his proportions. As it stands, I’m happy as is. Thinkway did a great job with him ( excluding the awful qc).

I need some help. Im in a position to but belt buzz for 45 bucks plus tax. Is this one worth it??? I mean, I want to get the whole collection, but i still need rex, rc, bullseye, jessie, and belt buzz before i accomplish my goal.

I think he’s worth it to finish off your collection, but not before the others you mentioned.

Of course, I dont actually have him, only played with him in the store. but he seems like a solid toy. lots of new phrases.

The other things worrying me, is I am on vacation so I’d have to put him in my luggage to go home. Probably DESTROY the box… I think my next purchase will be Bullseye, or if wave 3 is announced by when i go home(september) I may save my cash for an Emperor Zurg or Prospector.
