Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

I found a Mr. Pricklepants! He was my favorite character in the movie. I didn’t think an action figure existed for him. I always saw him in those PVC sets but nothing else. But I went to Toysrus today, and I found one, and it was the only one they had on him. But they had plenty of everybody else. Can’t stop looking at him!

The TSC Bullseye is now available on the Disney Store site, along with the plushes of Buttercup, the Peas, Dolly, etc.

Cause I dont want to return it since the box is ruined.

Did you clip it in right, you put it in and twist to the right until it locks into place.

Can you buy Rex in ANY store? Disney Store maybe?

I live in California and u cant find Rex anywhere but the Disney Store or the internet. I bought mine from the Disney store. They are not gonna bring him to TRUs because it is wave 1 and they would have done it a long time ago.

I live in California too. Man…I have to go to from Stockton to Modesto to get Rex! :frowning:

I was at the Disney Store yesteday, and they had at least 6 of Rex. I have never seen him at any other retail store… Sucks too, because I know that half of you guys don’t have one near you anymore, PLUS they charge like $10 more than everyone else.

I keep hearing that he will get a full retail release, but still nothing. The only 2 I haven’t seen in a local shop is Rex and Bullseye now. But yet Toys R Us literally had 15-20 Utility Belt Buzz’s in stock… Maybe they think that there isn’t enough market to order the lesser characters (public opinion, not mine) so that they can have plenty of Buzz Lightbeer… :unamused:

I’m guessing it is not a wise choice to wait for prices to go down? For all we know we’re never going to get any more Toy Story figures that are like the movie until some sort of Anniversary event or something.

Well if you buy Rex off of Amazon he is around $48 and you get free shipping. I heard from JTMitchell’s youtube account that Amazon has a really good exchange policy if you are not happy with the toy you get. I’m considering buying him from there because paying 10 extra dollars for him at the Disney Store doesn’t seem worth it.

I don’t see the prices going down permanently, only sales…which I’ve only seen at TRU.

the original animal lovin ken is going for 40 to 100 dollars on ebay.

Permanantly, definently not… At least not until Clearance, but that won’t happen for a while to come. Sales happen periodically between mostly TRU, occasionally at Target and Kmart. Kmart had ONLY Potato Head for $39 about a week or two ago, and I really wish i’d have picked up one. Target does it only rarely, and TRU mostly does “Buy one Get one 50% off” which brings them down to about $35-39 a piece.

If you can manage to find one you want for around $39 or less, grab them. Becuase it doesn’t get any better. One place, if you have one near you to check is Sams Club. Since they have the same warehouse shipments as Wal*Mart they ussually get the overstock. Largly the “Secondary” characters, like the Soldiers, Potato Head, they used to have Rex and Woody as well, but both are out. Excluding the soldiers (9.99 at Sam’s) the regular price for each is $38.89.

HawkingFord It’s not a good idea to wait too long, as Pixar/Thinkway have said numerous times this is the “Difinitive” collection, which means they probably arn’t going to make anything of the same quality (QC aside) for at least a while. I have money issues, so I know where you are coming from. My suggestion, watch your local stores Ad’s/Websites for discounts. Excluding Buzz and maybe Woody, the set is definently (at least my opinion) a tad overpriced, but they are great if you can get 'em for around $39.

I did own a Rex from a long time ago; you know the one where he’s sanding on anphabet blocks and breaks by a button on his neck?

Sad thing is I stored him in the garage along with a whole bunch of other stuff. (Long story) and I found him today while going through said junk and the hole where you insert the tail was crushed by the weight of the containers on top of eachother and now it’s flattened, unable to every put the tail back in.

Also I don’t like ordering things online and I can’t see why Target or TRU have every character but Rex.

Waiting to get these really isn’t going to be much of a problem. I’m planning on getting almost all of them and I only have Buzz so far. Even those these are being somewhat marketed to collector’s they’re very mass produced and it’s not going to be hard to find them all even years from now.

I’m debating weather to wait and find Rex of buy RC. Or maybe Buy RC and skip out on the Aliens to get Rex.

My suggestion is get Rex and Aliens (3 single pack) and skip RC. Unless you really like RC. He’s the most expensive, and he really only plays a significant role in the first movie. Also, he’s not a “True” RC car. Up to you, but that’s what I would do.

the RC is not accurate, it has 2 little wheels in the bottom and it slows down once it is 4 ft away from you.

my suggestion would be to skip the aliens. for now at least. andy is never seen playing with them, where as he plays with RC twice. maybe do what I did and get at lest one alien (from target).

And RC might not be functionally accurate, but he’s still a great display piece. even his remote, despite missing its turbo mode.
