Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

There is no way Disney could ever release a Totoro plushie. Plus, even if they did, the plush quality would not be on par with Japan. The Ponyo plush which came with my dvd was very well made. Just feeling it you can tell it’s high quality. It was imported from Japan.

I’ve seen a 16" totoro plush. but it just does not capture the essence of the film. So I’m one holding out for another design for the character. doesnt matter who makes it as long as it looks right. the only one that appears correct to me is the gigantic one that goes for about 300.00. i agree with you about the quality. i dont understand why the disney plushes are so cheaply made. i would pay for a decent plush if they existed.

Does anyone have a link to where Thinkway supposedly announced that Hamm is cancelled?

They never officially announced it in the first place, so they didn’t need to officially cancel it either. They merely state in email responses that there are no plans to produce Hamm.

We know it exists thanks to this pic.

But they have never actually acknowledged its existence. An insider over at sideshowcollectable forums posted that it was indeed planned to release, but lack of retailer intrest in a 50 dollar electronic piggy bank forced them to cancel it.

Ah, but is this ‘insider’ reliable? I still have hope for a wave 3 release.

When it comes to these TSC toys, I don’t know much. I was wondering Kyle, if you could shed some light on my question. Buzz feels like he has more features, whilst Woody is just a doll. Why did they price both $50? It seems Disney is not letting any of the TSC toys to sell less than 50. Why is that?

Is this the one you are talking about? I thought it was a great version.

The 1 toy that I believe is almost undoubtedly going to be produced is: Mrs. Potato Head. Zurg is an almost certain, and Prospector a most likely. Slink will not be produced because of licensing (why can’t Poof-Slinky just follow Hasbro’s example?) and Hamm we all know. I would be happy with the above three. As far as other toys, I would love to have an in-scale Trixie. I could care less if it was TSC, I just want one the right size. An in-scaler non-TSC stretch would be good too.

Not sure if anyone mentioned or noticed this before , but if you look very closely at the Mr Potato Head beside Hamm , you would realise that he has his original short attached legs , not the TSC current long ones . And his eyebrows and eyes don’t seem to be joined together too .

Trust me, keep the utility belt one, with zurg he’ll look amazing next to him. Having a brother with utility belt buzz and me having the original has its good side

Mentioned plenty of times, yes. Hasbro insisted he was given legs due to a possible pinching issue. the eyes are just a preference, they had to be conjoined, it was just a matter of should they be crocked to look kinda sorta separated, or more symmetrical.

Sorry you are frustrated but keep in mind these are toys, for kids. As older folks we can appreciate them on a different level than the youngsters, but in the end they are made to play with and to bring joy, not anger. Imagine your own joy if you got a Buzz Lightyear in the real package from the movie! Yours will come, don’t worry. Remember to play with them, not just “collect.”

Anyone know of a good way to rip the tags off Jessie and Bullseye? Woody didn’t have any, why do they? they really take away from the look for me. I want to rip them off, but Im afraid of damaging it, pulling the seam apart.
I dont want to just use scissors though, that would leave part of it there.

Woody has them. Under his vest.

You sure? where at exactly? front? back?

I don’t think mind has one. I don’t remember removing it.

100% positive. If your looking at the doll from the front, its on the right, from behind on the left. It’s hidden INCREDIBLY well by the vest.

Curiously, I noticed that Bullseye’s tags state, “Do not remove under penalty of law.” Since they don’t bug me much, I left Bullseye’s tags on so the plush police don’t hunt me down!

Also, I just checked myself, and Woody does indeed have tags under his left arm, hidden beneath the vest.

Yeah, I found it.

As for the do not remove thing, its a common misconception that those tags (usually regarding mattresses) are for the store owners, not the consumers.

Though I guess it is funnier to think they wouldn’t want us removing them. but yeah, its just supposed to mean the toy hasn’t been tampered with or is a bootleg. I think.

but anyway, has anyone removed Jessie or Bullseye’s yet? Woody’s can stay, I didn’t even even realize it was there.

i just located two of the movie accurate ken dolls in portland oregon. my sister picked them up for me.
