I hope so. Next to Woody, Slinky is my all time favorite character from Toy Story. It’s a huge mistake not to include him in TSC.
That’s very strange. I would’ve thought Slinky was more of a major character than, say, RC or the Green Army Men.
I know, I’m extremely disappointed as well. I was really hoping that I could get an upgrade to a new Slinky. I hope they decide to put into production later at least.
This always happens with poor Slink. He wasn’t featured in any of the Toy Story treats, nor was he even seen in Toy Story Mania. Why does he always end up as completely underrated?
That would be sad and surprising if true, but I’m hoping maybe Disney hasn’t told Thinkway every character they want added to the collection.
Anyway, I emailed them about getting a replacement Woody due to the eye thing, and Jenny said they would send a replacement if I sent mine in. (I don’t have the receipt anymore) transportation prepaid. I a bit confused though. does this mean I have to pay shipping when sending mine in? And I wonder if they want the box and everything else. I hope they don’t plan on reselling it, because its not exactly in mint condition anymore with the sharpie mods and “Andy” I wrote on it. I don’t mind sending it with everything it came with, I just hope the replacement has all this stuff, and its not just a loose Woody doll.
To anyone who got a replacement buzz (or any other replacement from them), did they send a whole new box and whatnot, or just the toy itself?
If I’m paying shipping I could probably save money if I sent just the toy, no hat, stand, or COA, and in a smaller box, but I don’t want them to say they couldn’t send if because it wasn’t everything that came with it…
They just sent my buzz packed in a small brown box. No new box, but they did pay for the shipping. Hold on to ALL of your records. I have a box just for stuff like this, never know when you are going to have to call in that factory warranty.
Hmm, so I guess I should just send woody himself, nothing else?
Also, do you remember how long it took? I’d like to have one on Christmas day, and if they can’t get me a replacement by then I might just hold off 2 or 3 weeks.

This is killing me. I’m dying to get Woody or the aliens, but my mom says that I’m too old for toys. If I tell her it’s for collection purposes, she says it’s a waste of money. I guess I’ll jus have to live without these, but they look like a beautiful set.

Lasseter’s office is full of toys and it’s worked out pretty well for him. 
That’s impossible. No one who watches Toy Story can out grow their toys. Just expose her to Jessie’s Song, and offer to pay for whatever you buy.
Also I’m not sure if this was said before- so sorry for re-posting anything old- but I just came from talking with Jenny Sze in Thinkway Toys product department asking her about a release date for Mr. Potato Head. She said he will available close to the release date of Toy Story 3.
Well, I suppose if I can wait for the movie, I can wait for him.
i don’t know if can wait that long for my favorite spud!!! Then agian they can probably fix the problem with his eyes stuck together.
I think the design of him is pretty much locked down at this point, I’m expecting the grouped eyes we’ve been seeing. I think they already produced them, their just sitting on them until it makes sense for them to release. ie, when the marketing push is firing on all cylinders.
Does anyone else think it was a huge mistake for Thinkway Toys to post all of this information about Potato Head on the JL interviews, Amazon.com and Target and not have him released yet?
what info in the John Lasseter interivews? he was merely in the background. had he actually reviewed him then yes that would be annoying and misleading, but the rest of out of their control. as we know he was supposed to be out by now, but was delayed due to defective electronics and to give the others more shelf life. as for the rest it was too late to fully retract. the best they can do is remove him from the official promo photos which they have done. not sure if you noticed but even the toys or us TV ad doesn’t show him anymore.
The listings of him being sold other places online is fine, it’ll be there when he’s available for real, its not like it goes to waste.
Hmmmm, perhaps. I guess I’m just a bit sour since I’ll have to wait six months until the TSC version of Mr. P goes on sale. If it really was due to “defective electronics,” then I really wish that they had actually caught this mistake before hand.
Oh well, at least it’s fun to try and spot the hidden easter eggs of him.
Well this is probably for the best, I think the ones out now were rushed as it was, hence all the quality control issues. Maybe the delay can allow them to make sure each one is working and painted properly.
Exactly. I mean, after seeing their brilliant line of WALL•E toys, I was really impressed with the amount of work and effort Thinkway Toys put into each of their products. I am really excited that they are updating their Toy Story toys but the quality control just falls short in comparison.
Had Woody and Buzz in my cart, went to checkout and the sales were over. Can’t afford them right now. Hopefully after X-mas.
TheComedian go buy them off of Amazon. They dropped the Toy Story Collection toys prices alot.
Well I just returned Woody, since I could use the funds for other gifts (and it’s not like there wont be PLENTY of him after the Holidays anyways), but it took about 2 weeks for them to ship me the other Buzz, send it priority if you need it faster. It seemed like what took the longest was them recieving my recept.
