If they sell all TSC figures at the same price then he’ll cost you $59.99 plus tax. Pretty sure that’s how much they were asking when I was there a few weeks ago.
Hello good people, if you are looking for TSC Rex and you can not find him try shopping at target.com. they have him for 45.00. and i belive that if your order is over 50.00 you get free shipping. ihave purchased several figures thru the mail form target and there seems to be no difference in quality (boxes in tact, etc)
Bullseye is one figure that i would definitely purchase by sight in person if you dont have one. i purchased one through the disney store website and he had some of the defects many have been complaining about (stiching on the nose, weird eye placement etc.) bullseye is very difficult to purchase. whenever i see a decent one i buy him because i understand how rare they are. at my TRU they had 4 of them and only one was worth buying, still a day or two later they were all gone.
also, do not be put off when you see “supertechnology” as opposed to thinkway at target.com, this confused me at first. its the same company or the same product. if you are in any of these store as they are unloading the boxes you will see supertechnology ltd on the container but its thinkway.
i saw a perfect bullseye when i went to get buzz i was so close to getting him when i saw buzz right below him so i stuck with my original plan
It seems like Buzz is a money eating marketing monster. all the major toy retailors (WM, TRU) are only carrying the Lightyear collection now and the cheaper versions of the other toys. has anybody else noticed this? I also saw the totoro online at otaku.com and thought it looked awesome. i guess it just depends on the photo. still the hair on this totoro looked better than the others i have seen.
I ordered a Totoro from otaku.com via eBay and then ordered some other Totoro stuff directly from their website. They arrived to the US from Japan in 3 days on the first order and 2 days on the 2nd one. Looks as good as the pics I thought. - I believe a lot of the other ones on eBay are counterfeit or unauthorized ones.
Has anyone come across the movie accurate Ken besides myself? I don’t understand why I can’t find them in my state. Yet other people I know seem to have no trouble locating them. Now that I have the TS Barbie I need to find an accurate head to go with it. Maybe this is subject for a different thread but does anyone know what Barbie looks closest to the movie?
This might fit better in the “Replicas” thread, since they technically arn’t “Collection” figures, but they are still technically replicas. I have started to look through whenever I am in a Target/TRU and see if there is actually one with the accurate head, since I really liked Ken in the movie. I have searched at least a dozen separate times, and no sign of the accurate sculpt. So, you arn’t the only one BrianKelsyRipley.
Hey frontierqueen i have been following your post on another thread and i see that you found “movie accurate Ken” Congratulations and welcome to the club!!!
So what are everyones thoughts on what could be in TSC wave 3? They have done pretty much every major character except Mrs. Potato Head, Slinky, and Hamm. Hamm was canceled due to the disney store version and Slinky apparently has patent issues so what characters seem like a good possibility. They would have to be the plastic characters I would think, as a character like pricklepants would be hard to do.
Candidates for wave 3 that I can think of are: Mrs. Potatohead, Emperor Zurg, Stinky Pete, Trixie, Bo Peep (long shot), Rocky (long shot), can’t really think of anyone else…
Where did you find out that Slink has patent issues? I for one expect them to release both Slink and Hamm as well as Mrs. PH, E. Zurg, and Stinky Pete. Those are the characters that are missing from the “definitive” TSC. It can not be definitive unless you have those characters. And maybe a Ken and Barbie TSC with different outfits. I think part of the problem in predicting what characters will ultimately be released is that there are so many different parties involved. It nice to be able to dismiss them ( out of sight out of mind) but I am hoping that they release all the characters (Andy’s toys in the last film) as TSC figures
wave 3
-
Mrs. Potato head- its easy to just change the voice box, add ear rings, change the hat, shoes eyes, and nose from MR P head
-
Zurg- there is alot technology oppurtinity in this figure, including his gun that shoots balls, his vision, and voice that could say “destroy buzz lightyear, destroy buzz lightyear” or “i am your father”. plus we have already seen the box in TS 2 and we have utility belt buzz. although he is in one movie (TS 3 does not count, 5 seconds tsk tsk) Thinkway would profit from him.
-
Prospector- i mean c’mon, u have everyone in the gang but him, they even have woodys guitar how can u not complete the round up, its like woody with out buzz or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without peanut butter.
long shot:
4. Bo peep- it could be a real lamp. i mean we have seen boxes really big like lots o and bullseye, i mean lamps do usually cost 50 dollars. and u could press a button just on the lamp and the sheep would say “baaahahaha help us” and bo peep “somebody do something” and make bo peep be able to come out of the lamp but not have any technology (only technology in when shes on the lamp)
BrianKelsyRipley7 -but I am hoping that they release all the characters (Andy’s toys in the last film) as TSC figures

They have everyone but mrs. P head, hamm has a real piggy bank ( u wouldnt want to spend 50 dollars on a bank that talks and is not true to the movie and same with slinky - i know i would not pay 50 dollars for a talking slinky since there is no room for a voice box
Your not going to get a Thinkway Barbie or Ken, that’s Mattel’s territory. They don’t even let them use their characters in storybook versions of TS3 apparently. Their not going to license them out.
I don’t know about patent issues for Slink, but I do know it would be too difficult/costly to do right. relocating the string would require him to be heavier, while at the same time having a hollow head so as to not topple over when pulled.
we’ve posted our guesses more times than I can count, but I guess one more doesn’t hurt.
Prospector.
Zurg
Mrs Potatohead
Those are the only 3 I’m fairly confident of.
Don’t expect Hamm or slink. they’ll probably do two more toys that are new. hard to guess who.
LOL kyles right
this discussion comes up like every 20 pages
I just know Stinky Pete would be good to complete the roundup gang
and Mrs, Potato head because she was biggest roles in TS3
Prospector.
Zurg
Mrs Potatohead
i feel like there is nothing else to talk about on this blog except for who should be in wave 3, complaints on QC, and complaints that there is no bullseye.
Does everyones rex twitch by itself 20 seconds after it it talks?
Yes, I think it’s just going back to the original position. My Buzzes do that too.
I think that the next most likely character after the obvious 3 would be Trixie. I’m also hoping for some more non-TSC Thinkway versions of minor characters, just like was done with Sparks, Chunk, and Twitch. I’m hoping for a non-sticky Stretch (as I’ve said) and maybe some minor Andy’s toys or (unlikely) a Chuckles. Chuckles, however, would probably be pretty easy to make homemade if you have decent sculpting/sewing skills.
Yeah, I talked about liking to see a real Stretch also, but if not sticky then just being stretchy, squishy, and flexible would be the important thing (cause toys that are sticky get all kinds of icky stuff all over them from on the floor). I’m also still wanting to see them do Trixie.
